We are excited to share that our CEO, Patricia Schröder, has been invited to contribute over the next three days to the preparatory meetings for the Conference of the Parties (COP) to The Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions (BRS) in Geneva, Switzerland. These meetings, held at the UN Environment Programme's International Environment House, began on 26 March and will run until 28 March 2025. The BRS Conventions play a crucial role in addressing the safe management, trade, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste, ensuring global cooperation in protecting human health and the environment. These preparatory meetings bring together international experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to lay the groundwork for key decisions that will be made at the upcoming COP, influencing global policies on sustainability, waste reduction, and chemical safety. Today, we're excited to continue the momentum on Day 2 at the Njhakanjhaka Community Hall in Collins Chabane LM, running until 13:00. These imbizos are part of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Good Green Deeds campaign, a nationwide initiative encouraging South Africans to take responsibility for keeping the environment clean. This initiative is key to South Africa's mission to tackle over 360,000 tonnes of annual e-waste.
