    🩷 Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Let's Take Action Together! 🎀   At Clover, we believe in making a positive and powerful impact in the communities we serve. This October, we are proud to continue our partnership with PinkDrive, South Africa’s leading breast cancer awareness initiative, our goal is to make an even bigger impact with your help.   When you buy one of our limited edition #CloverPink products we will donate 20 cents from every sale to provide screenings to women from underserviced communities. Our 2 litre Fresh Full Cream Milk, 2 Litre Ultra Pasteurised Fresh Full Cream Milk, 250ml Fresh Cream, and our new 1kg Double Cream Plain Yoghurt have already started raising funds, promoting early detection, and these pink packs are also educating consumers to help save more lives.   Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer for South African women, and early detection is the first step that can make all the difference. With this in mind, we checked in with Neo Lushaba (Assistant Brand Manager), who sheds some light on the exhilarating life of a Clover Marketer! Neo’s key focus brands within the yoghurt portfolio include Bliss, Snack Pack, Nutrikids, and Nolac lactose-free yoghurts. As an Assistant Brand Manager, Neo’s role involves managing diverse product lines and ensuring that Clover meets consumer needs through innovative campaigns and product launches. It is an exciting position where Neo works closely with cross-functional teams, develops marketing strategies, and helps bring Clover’s delicious and nutritious yoghurts to market. This role allows Neo to combine strategic thinking, creativity, and an analytical approach to identify growth opportunities. One of the highlights of Neo’s day is collaborating with different teams to bring ideas to life, whether it’s brainstorming creative campaign concepts or reviewing new product innovations. Additionally, Neo enjoys analysing consumer feedback and market trends, as they provide insights into how the team can refine their approach and continuously improve. Neo has achieved so much since joining Clover, from relaunching Nutrikids to launching the 6x100g Clover Nolac lactose-free yoghurt and, most recently, introducing the exciting new Tropika and Bliss drinking yoghurt!   • 🌟 Celebrating Growth this September! 🌟 As we enter the final stretch of 2024, we’re excited to share the journeys and achievements of our exceptional Cloverites who make Clover 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐥!. In Clover, the 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of products from production to consumers. The supply chain's efficiency directly impacts product availability, quality, cost, and overall customer satisfaction, making it a core function in Clover’s operations. Werner Dreyer began his career with Clover in 2013 as a Supply Planner. Shortly after starting in this role, he was promoted to Deployment Manager, responsible for overseeing the replenishment of inventory across the Clover Supply Chain. He has recently been appointed as 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, where he leads a team responsible for all aspects of Supply Chain, from Demand Planning to raw milk planning, which is the driving force behind Clover's operations. After years of being a financial advisor, Werner decided to shift his career to the field of Supply Chain. His curiosity began with understanding how businesses manage inventory stockholding. He became particularly intrigued by how mathematical models and algorithms are used to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and minimize costs. Over the years, Werner's passion for Supply Chain has evolved as he witnessed the impact these mathematical approaches have on real-world operations. The top three leadership qualities Werner believes are essential in managing a Supply Chain planning team effectively are strategic vision, effective communication, and mentorship and development. These qualities are the foundation of ensuring that, under your leadership, your team represents you in the best way possible and you both strive for success. Seeing his team succeed is incredibly rewarding for him. Without a motivated and successful team, leadership means little. In our fast-paced and ever-evolving industry, adaptability and continuous progress are key drivers of success. Work-life balance is extremely important to Werner. To achieve this, he enjoys cycling over the weekend to recharge, clear his mind, and reflect. Werner advises others who aspire to advance in Supply Chain to always be determined and committed. The Supply Chain field is dynamic and requires staying ahead of the latest technological advancements.   • 🚚 Driver Of the Year Celebration at Clover Clayville!🚚 The atmosphere at the Clayville Branch was charged with excitement as drivers, managers, and other employees gathered to honour the best drivers from all our branches. The event kicked off with a welcome message by our Divisional Manager for Secondary Distribution, James Rea, who highlighted the critical role that drivers play in Clover’s success. "Our drivers are the backbone of our operations. Their dedication ensures that our goods reach their destinations safely and on time. Today, we celebrate not just their driving skills, but their commitment to excellence," the manager stated. Selection for 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 participation was based on yearly averages of Green Band driving as well as fuel efficiency, incident occurrences and customer service across all branches and satellites. On the day, various obstacles were presented to the drivers to put their skills to the test. The awards ceremony was the highlight of the day as the 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 in the respective categories C1, EC and MHE were announced. Jacques van Heerden (Executive: Industrial) opened the awards ceremony by welcoming all participants as well as our leading partners Standard Bank South Africa Bank (main partner in commercial vehicles) and Goscor Group (main partner in MHE), who contributed to the success of the day. The handover of certificates and gifts to the drivers and participants was led by Antonio (Tony) Roderigues (General Manager: Distribution and Procurement). Tony highlighted that the Driver of the Year awards is more than just a ceremony and it is a testament to the Clover’s dedication to fostering a culture of excellence. By recognising and rewarding the hard work and achievements of the drivers, Clover reinforces the values of safety, punctuality, and customer service that are essential in the logistics industry. The success of this year’s 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 awards at the Clayville facility sets a high standard for the future. It serves as an acknowledgment of the critical role drivers play in Clover’s success.
