Ubuntu Humanity is one of the 10-strong LNG dual-fuelled vessels in our chartered fleet, an important component of our roadmap to drive more sustainable shipping operations, and our wider approach to decarbonisation.
It was a privilege to spend the day on the MV Ubuntu Humanity today in Singapore. Thank you so much to the master and his crew for hosting and engaging with us. We are the largest charterer/operator of LNG dual fuelled capesize bulk carriers and the MV Ubuntu Humanity is part of this current ten vessel strong fleet. She has been in operation for over 14 months and is one of the most efficient vessels of her size and type on the water. This vessel (and her sister ships) are an important component of our aim to reduce carbon emissions from our ocean freight activities. We remain committed to providing safe, reliable and sustainable delivery of our high quality products to our valued customers worldwide. The International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples 2024 marks 42 years since the UN first met in Geneva to discuss the importance of Indigenous rights. Four decades later, it remains just as vital to appreciate the cultural importance of these groups. Despite making up approx. 5% of the world’s population, Indigenous Peoples account for 15% of the poorest and remain one of the most marginalised groups on the planet. The contribution of these groups to the biodiversity and environmental protection of our planet is essential in safeguarding the future for us all.
