The Education Advisory Committee (EAC) convened under the theme 'Opportunities and Risks of Using AI in Education Interventions in South Africa.' The JET Board members, staff, and education experts gathered to explore AI's growing role in education by assessing and reflecting on the extent of the current use of AI in education interventions in South Africa and internationally, promoting language inclusivity, and examining JET's role in AI education innovation. This year’s EAC featured a panel discussion on case studies and AI trends in education, concluding with a look at how these insights support JET’s Embracing our neXt strategy for 2025–2027. Thank you to all members and participants for your valuable engagement and contributions.
