In August, the Kudzo Foundation and MES Impilo Shelter launched the Stitchpreneur job creation initiative! This innovative programme has identified ten unemployed fashion designers from MES Impilo and Entuthukweni Skills Development to collaborate with Kudzo Foundation in Johannesburg for six months. The individuals will gain invaluable industry exposure and skills to run their own small to medium enterprises, with all necessary machinery provided. 🧵✨ Each participant received a start-up kit, including sewing equipment, a Yoco machine, and fabric, along with seed investment and a free financial literacy workshop. They will also access market opportunities via social media, fashion shows, and more. 📈💡 This initiative supports SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by creating jobs and promoting sustainable development. 🙌 A huge thank you to all the organisations and volunteers making this possible!
