To encourage the recycling of bottle caps and increase the chances of them being recycled, we replaced the printed branding with an embossed recycling message. Removing the ink reduces carbon emissions created during printing and, because ink is a contaminant, this improves a cap’s recyclability too. “The future belongs to our youth” Nelson Mandela   Mpact is dedicated to fostering youth development. Each year, we welcome young learners into the company where they are offered opportunities in skills development and work experience through our apprentice and learnership programmes, contributing to the enhancement of the industry-relevant skills pool. More than 90% of participants in these programmes come from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, with 28% being black women.   In addition to this, we extend educational support by providing bursaries to the children of our employees. This not only empowers the younger generation but also opens avenues for them to pursue their aspirations.
