STATS DNV type approved isolation tools provide leak-tight double block and bleed isolation that enables safe and efficient maintenance and repair of onshore, topsides and subsea pipeline infrastructure. Our Process Plant Solutions offer hot-work barriers and localised hydrostatic weld test tools to verifying the integrity of welds or fittings, reducing system downtime, minimising environmental impact and increasing worksite safety. Mechanical pipe connectors replace the need for welding, significantly reducing expenditure and associated risks with hot-work. STATS Group are proud to support a valued client in Oman safely tie-in a new facility to their natural gas transmission network. STATS deployed two 48” Remote Tecno Plug’s to isolate a short section of pipeline - operating at 90 bar, enabling safe tie-in of new launchers and receivers without depressurising and venting the entire pipeline. The Remote Tecno Plugs were pigged 25km through the line, tracked and accurately positioned at the isolation location. Once activated the dual seals of the Remote Tecno Plugs were tested with full pipeline pressure and constantly monitored throughout the workscope to ensure leak-tight double block isolation. Our largest Remote Tecno Plugs deployed in Oman, this marks a significant milestone and part of our commitment to support the industry and region by reducing venting and flaring during pipeline maintenance and modification activities.
