We were very proud to launch 1st Wave at Land Forces 24 last week in Melbourne. We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received for an idea that began as a thought bubble shared between a couple of old friends catching waves in the Indian Ocean just a few months ago. We are excited for the conversations that will follow on our integrated littoral solutions. Thanks to our brilliant partners Beachhead Logistics and Jaia Robotics for your ongoing support. #LandForces24 #InvestmentNSW #DefenceWest

This map of Australia oriented on the Indo-Pacific always catches my eye ⬇️ The Australian Army's Contribution to the National Defence Strategy report featured this map and outlined Army’s adaptation priority: to optimise for littoral manoeuvre with a long-range land and maritime strike capability. This isn't just a Pacific strategy - the Indian Ocean needs to become much clearer in our strategic thinking. https://lnkd.in/g4MTNdch The National Interest has a short read looking at the importance of the Indian Ocean to US strategy and the options to enhance presence and co-operation in the region. Interestingly Australia is largely glossed over. https://lnkd.in/gjHSf7iy By my reckoning Australia has the second longest Indian Ocean coastline behind India itself (geography nerds come at me if it is not!). Fleet Base West, Christmas Island, the Cocos Keeling Islands, North West Australia and Darwin could play an outsized role in strengthening the rules based global order in the Indian Ocean. With the Australian Army refocusing on the littoral environment and fast tracking long range fires, HIMARs capable of firing PrSM increment 2 anti shipping missiles could assist in anti access area denial out to 400 km + from the coast or territories. https://lnkd.in/g5ezbB6H 🖼️@Australian Army

US Marine Corps is providing Australian Army with a great example of how military capability can be augmented with intelligent industry partnerships. Trusting that a similar option is being considered to accelerate the #LittoralManoeuvre capability. Well done Sea Transport 👏 👏 #IndustryPartnership #LittoralOperations #IntegratedOperations
The US Marine Corps has signed a lease for a 73m stern landing vessel (SLV) from Queensland ship designer Sea Transport. The 3-year lease will enable the Marines to assess, evaluate and experiment with the SLV in support of its Force Design objectives and inform future amphibious and littoral manoeuvre requirements and concepts of operations, including that for the huge Landing Ship Medium program. Currently in the final stages of construction, the SLV itself will possess a 550-tonne payload and 4,000nm range. The vessel will be handed over to the Marines in January 2025, whereupon it will commence activities in and around northern Australia and the near region. A nice win for 100% Australian-owned Sea Transport. Will be awesome seeing the SLV out and about with the USMC. #usmc #usmarines #usarmy #adf #defence #defense #defenceindustry #indopacific #amphibious #littoralmanoeuvre #shipbuilding #naval #usnavy #landingcraft #darwin #aukus SEATRANSPORT PTY LTD United States Marine Corps US Army US Navy Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory I Futures Directorate Australian Army Royal Australian Navy Defence Australia Royal Navy Royal Marines Pat Conroy Richard Marles

This is an amazing result for an Australian designed SLV SEATRANSPORT PTY LTD. Well done Doctor Stu and the team!!! Time to get a few of these things reinvigorating the coastal trading routes into Northern Australian Ports and acting as a buffer to the ADF amphib fleet, as dormant charters (not STUFT)!!!!
