2025 is the year to get creative as pressure builds on sponsors to deliver promised returns to investors. Our PE Horizons 2025 report predicts increased use of minority sell downs and continuation vehicles among other strategies. On the buy-side, we're expecting a continued increase in the use of complex structured products and derivatives, while for distressed assets the trend for novel statutory insolvency processes (eg loan-to-own models) will continue. Healthcare will be the sector to watch in 2025 as investors are drawn to health services and technologies that could slash inefficiencies and unlock new models of healthcare delivery.
