Proudly Australian. Globally connected.
About us
We are one of Australia's oldest and largest law firms, with offices in six cities, nearly 200 partners, and a full range of legal services for large private sector and government clients. But we're more interested in talking about you, and with you. It's why, wherever you are, we give you advice that connects with you. Advice that isn't just a one-size-fits-all solution taken off a shelf, but that reflects who you are, and what you need. Advice created by lawyers with different experiences and different views, but united by an entrepreneurial spirit, a can-do attitude, confidence in each other, and pride in helping you achieve. As you might have noticed, we like speaking plainly. While we like thinking creatively to help you, we won't give you an answer hidden by legal jargon, or that doesn't reflect our honest opinion. Our clients value that, and trust us with their most important work. And we work hard to deserve that trust.

With International Women’s Day approaching, it’s the perfect time to highlight a topic that affects millions of women yet often remains overlooked – menopause in the workplace. While the average age for Australian women to reach menopause is 51, symptoms can start years earlier, impacting health, confidence and workplace experiences. Despite this, menopause is still not openly discussed in many workplaces, leading to stigma, misinformation, and a lack of support. As part of our commitment to raising awareness and creating an inclusive workplace, we recently held an informative panel discussion with leaders in the legal and health and wellbeing space. Dr Kelly Teagle (WellFemme) and Thea O'Connor (Wellbeing & Productivity Specialist) shared their personal insights and expert knowledge, reinforcing the significant role workplaces play in supporting menopause, especially in retaining experienced women and removing the taboo and stigma surrounding the menopause transition. From her own experiences with menopause, Nikki Robinson, Partner in Charge of our Sydney Office, shared her reflections on why talking about menopause is so important to talk about. Swipe to hear from Partner Nikki Robinson, Partner and Chair of the Clayton Utz Board Ross McInnes, and National Mental Health Manager Emma Howard on their key takeaways from the session and why we need to continue working together to make menopause a normal part of workplace discussions.
