The AGS (QLD Chapter) 2024 Townsville Symposium, second in series was centred on Slope Stability, a topic close to many practitioners in the region. The event was split into 4 sessions, with 12 technical presentations from eminent national and Northern Queensland speakers which covered flow slides, slope remediation in disaster events, international approaches to slope stability and resilience in design. The event was a great opportunity for geomechanical professionals to gather in Northern Queensland, promote technical excellence, foster networking opportunities within the region and strengthen connections among its esteemed members.
