Thrilled to announce that the Southern Region of Menard Oceania has been nominated for Project of the Year at the Engineers Australia Excellence Awards (Victoria)! 🏆 Our nomination recognises the ground improvement works delivered alongside John Holland on the Hobsons Bay Main Yarra Crossing Duplication. This project involved stabilising soft soils using jet grout to create a homogenous treated block, mitigating risks of ground fracture and water inflow during shaft and tunnel excavation. We are proud of our innovative approach, which included advanced geotechnical testing, monitoring, and mapping techniques to ensure success. It was an honour to attend the awards ceremony last night and learn about the incredible projects across our industry. A huge congratulations to all the nominees! 🎉

#MenardOceania are at it again! Menard Oceania recently celebrated the completion of several projects for our partner Saunders. Using our developed Controlled Modulus Column system, Menard provided an innovative and cost-effective foundation solution for several large fuel tanks. Using our extensive local and international know-how, Menard provide industry leading design and construct experience across all construction sectors. We now head to our next adventure in sunny and beautiful Queensland! 

Another Menard Success! Congratulations to Transport for NSW, John Holland, Seymour Whyte, AECOM, Arcadis and the Menard Oceania Men and Women, on the opening of the Sydney Gateway Project. We've delivered 9,800 CMCs for 130,000 linear meters on this project. The foundation improvement to Tempe Lands and 9 bridge abutments makes this project the largest ground improvement solution on a Transport for NSW project. The Menard team has worked tirelessly with over 50% rain impacted shifts to deliver the program within the critical path timeframe of John Holland and Seymour Whyte. Innovation is an understatement with two custom built low headroom CMC rigs that were developed to meet the strict OLS requirements of the adjacent Sydney Airport. #construction #innovation #groundimprovement #civilengineering

Thrilled to show a glimpse of our recent project at Pelican Point Terminal in Port Adelaide, South Australia! This is Menard Oceania's first CMC project in South Australia, and we are delighted to share this success. We've used our CMC ground improvement technique as a cost-effective alternative to traditional piling, providing a solid foundation for the construction of three 22-meter-high fuel tanks. The project will add 90,000 cubic metres of new diesel storage capacity for the SA fuel industry, enhancing Australia's domestic fuel storage supply. It has been a pleasure working alongside Saunders on this terminal expansion project, and we look forward to returning to the state soon. Happy Monday! We're back with our "Meet the Team" series, and today we're celebrating another win for Menard Oceania's Northern Region. Today's spotlight is on our BD & Design Engineer, Océane CRITON!  Originally from Montpellier, France, Oceane earned her master's degree in civil engineering at the esteemed Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics. In 2021, she made the fantastic choice to swap croissants for Vegemite and move down under! (Fun fact: Oceane doesn't like Vegemite...) Having worked with Oceane for over 3 ½ years of her impressive 8-year career, I can tell you she's a bit of a wizard. As a true jack-of-all-trades, she effortlessly handles procurement, design, tendering and delivery of our ground improvement solutions. Tout est possible avec toi, Oceane.

Congratulations to Sydney Metro on the opening of the city portion of the North West and Bankstown Line! Menard is incredibly proud to have played a part in this project, working on two of the new stations! At Barangaroo Station, we provided water control measures to reduce the risk of water ingress into the station box. Our solutions included Jet Grouting and Rock Mass Grouting. At Waterloo Station, we provided Anchors for the temporary retention of the station box during its construction. It's great to see these stations completed and being used by Sydneysiders.
