Congratulations Lyn Thomson and Steve Posselt for protecting endangered koalas through your amazing Koala Friendly Carbon project, restoring a former sugarcane farm back to its natural, diverse forest state. Climate Friendly is proud to have facilitated the planting of more than 30-thousand mixed species trees on your NSW northern rivers property, in partnership with WWF-Australia. Together we’re protecting a national icon from extinction, tackling climate change by drawing carbon from the atmosphere and generating carbon credits to help Australian industry and agriculture transition to Net Zero.

Climate Friendly connected with local farmers at the 2025 Walcha Agricultural Show in northern NSW. Our team discussed carbon farming opportunities to support land managers integrate more trees into their operations and improve their soil health, while earning extra income. Our exciting Koala Friendly Carbon Initiative is a great example. In partnership with WWF-Australia and supported by the NSW Government, we’re helping land managers restore critical koala habitat along the east coast, under the Governments’ Australian Carbon Credit Unit scheme. Hear what Fiona Irving from the High Biodiversity Team had to say about the event. 🌱🐨

Australia's Nature Repair Market has launched! It’s an Australian government initiative to attract business and stakeholder investment in nature-positive land management practices to restore and protect the environment and halt biodiversity decline. The launch is an important step in supporting Australia’s “30 by 30” pledge to protect and conserve 30% of Australia’s landmass and 30% of Australia’s marine areas by 2030, under the Kunming-Montreal Global Diversity Framework (GBF).
Attention all landholders! 📣 The first method for the Nature Repair Market is available. Under the Replanting native forest and woodland ecosystems method, project proponents can carry out projects to: ✅ revegetate cleared and productive land ✅ replant local native vegetation to restore ecosystems and attract biodiversity. The market provides opportunities for landholders and investors - driving more activities that protect and repair nature. Learn more https://brnw.ch/21wR3KV
