👋 We were excited to welcome delegates from the Canadian aerospace, space and defence sector to South Australia this week.   A group of Canadian-based companies visited South Australia to explore our world-class defence and space capabilities, supported by Defence SA, the Department of State Development and the Defence Teaming Centre.   The curated program included B2B sessions with defence and space SMEs, Australian and state government briefings, ministerial engagement and a tour through our state-of-the-art the Lot Fourteen Precinct including the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), Stone & Chalk, Australian Space Agency and Australian Mission Control Centre.    A fantastic opportunity to connect with our Canadian allies whilst showcasing the strength of South Australia’s defence and space sectors.   Next stop for the delegation is a visit to the Avalon Australian International Airshow. Flinders University is teaming up with the Florida Institute of Technology to advance research in support of major naval shipbuilding projects. 🛳 Supporting the research is Flinders PhD graduate, Dr Tamar Jamieson, who is one of the first South Australians receive the SA Defence, Space & Cyber Scholarship from the American Australian Association.
