Dyma ni… croeso i BE.FC! Today the Football Association of Wales have launched BE. Football Community. BE.FC is a bespoke programme designed by teenage girls, for teenage girls. BE.FC is a combination of turn up and play sessions tailored to girls needs, and an App providing unique and bespoke content for teenage girls to access; to connect with their favourite football stars, learn new skills, gain badges and XP points and compete against their teammates. The App is also designed to house content to support girls through difficult life stages such as confidence, exam stresses and managing their menstrual cycle. The BE.FC App will be launching soon. Through our fantastic partnership with DMC Sport and Clubspark girls and parents can book onto sessions with ease at: https://play.faw.cymru Girls can also purchase branded hoodies and water bottles through the site, allowing our girls to feel connected. It’s almost two years to the day since we started consultation with 600 girls across Wales to understand why girls are dropping out of sport at the age of 13. This consultation led to focus groups which allowed girls across Wales to help us build a programme that is tailored to their needs. Thank you to all girls, schools, clubs and youth groups that joined us on this journey. A huge thank you to Frame for bringing our programme to life through brand design and visuals, and to Populate Social for our eye catching launch video. FIFA Sue Ronan for the support through the FIFA Women’s Development Programme Ashley Crowden as always for capturing the programme perfectly through imagery. And of course none of this would be possible without the hard work of our amazing team at the FAW Rachel Anne Short , Ellie Lake ,Eloise Martin, Julie Parienti, Jac Elsey , Melissa Palmer 👏🏼👏🏼 https://lnkd.in/erC8hWDk

📢 “It’s great to see people reigniting their love for the sport, but also seeing some people’s newfound love for tennis. It really is a game everyone can enjoy.” Manjinder Rooprai, is a Barclays Free Park Tennis activator, who has been part of the team at Let’s Go Southall, volunteering their time to get more people playing on the newly transformed courts. 🎾 As part of the Park Tennis Project, a £250k investment from UK Government and the LTA Tennis Foundation has seen the LTA deliver refurbishment across 13 parks in Ealing, and Manjinder has since seen a huge demand for the sport with their sessions now spanning across three of the renovated local parks to ensure as many individuals can access the sport as possible.👏 Full story 👉 : https://lnkd.in/eJZc-fXS #tennisopenedup

Grassroots to elite was brought to life over the weekend, with the Woolworths Supermarkets NetSetGO Little Leaders attending this year's Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final. Our little netball legends were front and centre, leading out both the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Melbourne Vixens with their respective captains, delivering the match ball and presenting the winning team with their medals, an experience of a lifetime. Woolworths has been a proud partner of Netball Australia since 2017. As the Naming Rights Partner to Woolworths NetSetGO, Woolworths support over 50,000 kids stepping on court across the nation every year. Through the partnership, Woolworths has also supported the netball community with over $1.4m worth of grants to local netball clubs, enabling them to upgrade their equipment and make it more cost effective for more kids to get involved in netball.
