  • Great to be able to partner with Bastion on their project32 mission. The opportunity to establish a relationship with two of Australia's most promising emerging talents is super exciting for our business and our staff. As well as financial support, Cara Feain-Ryan OLY and Cassiel Rousseau will also receive mentoring from leaders within our business and in turn they will share their journeys on the path to LA in 2028 and then the transformational Brisbane Olympics in 2032. To Cara and Cass a very warm welcome to Team Entain! 🥇 🇦🇺

  • Victoria McArthur and Andy Cowan provided a really interesting insight into OnTrack Racing NZ last week in our Wellington office, in a presentation that was also shared with the rest of our New Zealand team virtually. The racing industry’s true strength is its people, which is why we are supporting OnTrack, a charity established to support everyone working and volunteering in the New Zealand racing community, working together to improve mental health and prevent suicide. This week (September 2-9) is Gambling Harm Awareness Week in New Zealand. We’re proud to support such an important national awareness campaign that seeks to educate Kiwis, and reduce stigma associated with minimising harm from gambling. This week across both our New Zealand brands, betcha and TAB, we've been sharing the various Safer Betting options available to our customers that gives them the power to manage their account. Account options such as Deposit Limits, Bet Stake Limits, Curfew and Block Out are available across both brands. Each option within the Safer Betting dashboard is designed to give our customers control of what they want to do with their account experience. We want our customers to bet safely and sustainably, and this week is the perfect time to check in. But, you can do it any day of the year through the options available in your account. Check out safergambling.org.nz for information, advice and support contacts for yourself or someone you care about. Talking about your gambling helps keep you safe. #GHAW #sustainable #safe #support #wagering #sustainability

  • We can't wait to pick up the reins with Raceform from next month. It's a vital part of the racing landscape in New Zealand, providing a breadth of coverage across the equine codes. Chief Executive Officer at TAB NZ

TAB NZ is excited to announce the acquisition of the Raceform publication for our strategic partnership with Entain Australia & New Zealand. It is undoubtedly a changing media landscape in New Zealand and around the world. We see this weekly publication as a strategic asset that is a critical pillar in the modernisation of racing media in New Zealand, while also creating a pathway to deliver wider and vital cost efficiencies across the industry ecosystem. Raceform will be integrated into the Entain NZ business alongside Trackside and SENZ from the start of next month. Dennis Ryan and Don Hancock have done a brilliant job with Raceform since launching in December 2019, and they leave a great legacy to build on. https://lnkd.in/gwafkHzE

Harness racing drivers Blair Orange, Robbie Close and Jonny Cox are used to high speeds, but on Monday, they experienced something even faster than sitting behind a top-class pacer. The HRNZ Blue September campaign, a partnership with the harness racing industry and Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ - Te Kāhui Mate Pukupuku Repe Tātea o Aotearoa Manatōpū, was launched in thrilling style on Monday with the trio - who are three of the 12 male ambassadors who will wear blue pants at race meetings through September and fundraise with every win - completing tandem jumps from 18,000 feet. Trackside's Friday Night Lights is sponsoring the country's leading driver Blair Orange this year, and will donate $100 for every win Blair collects through the month. Check out below a glimpse into how the skydive went, and tune in to Friday Night Lights on Trackside 1 on September 6 to see the full story. Managing Director - NZ at Entain Australia & New Zealand

For anyone interested, we run a smaller audience newsletter each month called the Entain Edition. Its a great place to a bit of a behind-the-scenes look at what we are up to here in NZ. There is usually a bit of candour in there that you might not find in some of our more general releases (like this issue where I take a few not so subtle shots at the frighteningly bloated and bureaucratic processes we see scattered across so many of our external touch points in New Zealand). If you're keen to sign up to receive the Entain Edition - just fire an email to communications@entaingroup.co.nz and you'll be away Link to this months addition in the comment section below ✌.

  • It's all happening in Perth this weekend, with UFC 305 headlined by Israel Adesanya and Dricus du Plessis going head-to-head. betcha, the exciting new brand launched by Entain Australia & New Zealand Australia and New Zealand last week, is the official wagering partner of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for New Zealand, and there couldn't be a better fight night for the start of the partnership to get underway, with the Adesanya bout backed up by Kiwi fighter Kai Kara-France taking on rising star Steve Erceg and Dan Hooker up against Mateusz Gamrot. betcha is all about the social and competitive value of sports and racing, and has a strong focus on events and sports that the newer generation have really shown interest in, like football, basketball, and UFC. #partnerships #wagering #mma

  • An exciting new player has entered the New Zealand wagering industry, with the launch of betcha last week. This is the first time since the TAB was established back in 1950 that there’s a new betting brand based in New Zealand. With the increasing threat to New Zealand sports and racing caused by offshore betting operators, betcha swoops in to provide choice to Kiwi punters while also providing harm minimisation support and account management tools. betcha – a digital-only brand – brings a social vibe to the wagering sector, with the ability to create syndicates and bet with mates, making it a true social experience. This new brand emphasises the social and competitive value of sports and racing and introduces New Zealanders to the next generation of betting. Starting a brand-new betting brand from scratch is no mean feat, especially when the teams behind the launch delivered betcha just three months after the relaunch of the TAB betting platform, and only two months after the rebrand of TAB. This was a business-wide effort from all parts of the Entain Australia & New Zealand team. betcha is live at betcha.co.nz and the app is available through Apple’s App Store and the Google Play store. #marketing #branding #innovative #newzealand #launch #new
