When you think of SXSW, one of the world's biggest tech and entertainment festivals, chances are period poverty isn't the first thing you'd probably think of. Well, that's changing from this week. Today, a coalition of leading organisations that we all know and love - consisting of The Cova ProjectKin Fertility, and Taboo Period Products - have teamed up for a new initiative, Seeing Red. The timely campaign is aimed at highlighting the growing issue of period poverty in Australia and across the globe - starting with SXSW Sydney, where a giant menstrual cup and giant tampon will be roaming the conference halls in Darling Harbour. If that doesn't a spark conversation and action around menstrual equity and highlight the underrepresented issue of period poverty amongst innovators and influencers - then we're not sure what will? Ever wondered what the practitioner-patient relationship looks like on our digital health platform? We’ve designed our platform to enable high-touch digital care, meaning our practitioners can support patients at multiple touch points along their health journeys. For Sigrid Pitkin (She/Her), going on the journey with them is her favourite part about working with patients. “Seeing how they’re progressing and how it’s changing their lives is really rewarding.” You can learn more about our platform here: https://lnkd.in/ga3sxTFv

🔔 NICE (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) has officially recommended Juniper as a digital weight management service… nice! ✅ 🇬🇧 This means NICE has identified Juniper as a promising multi-disciplinary health technology that has the potential to address national unmet weight management needs in the UK. NICE’s evidence-based guidance identifies care that: ✔️ is high quality 💰 is good value 👫 provides the best outcomes for patients accessing health and social care services within the UK We’ve worked hard to build an incredible multi-disciplinary team of practitioners (health coaches, doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and medical support specialists) to deliver wrap-around, holistic care to our patients. NICE’s endorsement of our digital weight service is an affirmation of the quality and clinical effectiveness of our program. This is another step in the right direction for high-quality, accessible weight care for all.  You can read NICE’s recommendations here: https://lnkd.in/ekcX4WwK

Meet Sigrid Pitkin (She/Her), one of our amazing Nurse Practitioners 👋 Working in digital healthcare has given Sigrid the flexibility to work from home in rural VIC, while continuing to provide high-touch care through our telehealth platform. We’re incredibly lucky to have practitioners who are so passionate about delivering high-quality care to our patients. Thanks Sigrid, and all of our practitioners, for all that you do for our patients every day 🙌

Over 500 million girls around the world lack access to basic period care. As a result, their access to a fair education and employment opportunities becomes more limited, which further disadvantages their future prospects. The problem starts with period poverty. Our very own Dakota O'Brien will be taking the stage at SXSW next week to represent Kin Fertility. Joined by Geena Dunne from The Cova Project Project, the pair will be discussing the women’s health gap and solutions we should be implementing today for a more equal tomorrow. When: 14th October Where: SXSW Podcast Stage (ICC) What: Seeing Red: The problem starts with period poverty

We’ve published 10 peer-reviewed studies on the safety, quality and effectiveness of our digital weight loss platforms this year alone. Despite the fact that millions of patients are using clinical obesity treatments all over the world, most of our studies are world-first. Our research is building a vital foundation for the ongoing development of high-quality and safe digital weight-loss platforms. We’re committed to contributing quality data to the scarce literature on digital obesity management. You can find all of our peer-reviewed research here: https://lnkd.in/gk7nZBnX

We had the pleasure of hosting some students from The University of Queensland at our Sydney HQ last week to talk about creative careers in tech. We spoke about how our in-house creative team operates, the basics of creative graduation and our branding ethos. Special shout out to our Head of Growth, Carly Dineen-Griffin, Brand & Comms Lead, Caroline Huynh and Senior Designer, Sophie Luka for showing them the ropes!
