A recent study published in the Journal of Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism has generated some impressive findings from Juniper’s digital weight-loss program in the UK. The analysis found that in a cohort of 1,882 Juniper UK patients, average 5-month weight loss was 10.73% of their initial body weight and 82.36% of patients achieved significant loss of 5% of their overall body weight. These findings lay another layer of nuance to the emerging literature on real-world digital weight-loss programs, which have the potential to improve access to quality obesity care. How do Australians really feel about telehealth? 🤔 New data shows that telehealth is increasingly becoming the norm, with 62% of Aussies having accessed telehealth services at some point. Yet, we’re still waiting for a set of standardised, enforceable regulations when it comes to the safety and quality of digital healthcare services in Australia. Without this, the industry will fail to build the trust it needs to survive. This means more patients left without access to quality care. Read more here from Lyndon Goddard on raising and regulating telehealth standards here: https://lnkd.in/exvenPCG

We are Seeing Red. At SXSW Sydney last week, our digital clinic Kin Fertility rocked the ICC with a giant tampon and menstrual cup, making a bold statement for period poverty awareness. We're committed to empowering women by improving access to essential health services and products. Kin joined forces with The Cova Project and Taboo for the Seeing Red campaign, collecting hundreds of signatures on our novelty oversized period care items. It was powerful to see so much support, huge thanks to everyone who made it happen.

When you think of SXSW, one of the world's biggest tech and entertainment festivals, chances are period poverty isn't the first thing you'd probably think of. Well, that's changing from this week. Today, a coalition of leading organisations that we all know and love - consisting of The Cova Project, Kin Fertility, and Taboo Period Products - have teamed up for a new initiative, Seeing Red. The timely campaign is aimed at highlighting the growing issue of period poverty in Australia and across the globe - starting with SXSW Sydney, where a giant menstrual cup and giant tampon will be roaming the conference halls in Darling Harbour. If that doesn't a spark conversation and action around menstrual equity and highlight the underrepresented issue of period poverty amongst innovators and influencers - then we're not sure what will? "Impossible to ignore": Conversations about period poverty will be taking centre stage at SXSW Sydney

🔔 NICE (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) has officially recommended Juniper as a digital weight management service… nice! ✅ 🇬🇧 This means NICE has identified Juniper as a promising multi-disciplinary health technology that has the potential to address national unmet weight management needs in the UK. NICE’s evidence-based guidance identifies care that: ✔️ is high quality 💰 is good value 👫 provides the best outcomes for patients accessing health and social care services within the UK We’ve worked hard to build an incredible multi-disciplinary team of practitioners (health coaches, doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and medical support specialists) to deliver wrap-around, holistic care to our patients. NICE’s endorsement of our digital weight service is an affirmation of the quality and clinical effectiveness of our program. This is another step in the right direction for high-quality, accessible weight care for all. You can read NICE’s recommendations here: https://lnkd.in/ekcX4WwK
