We were honoured to be sponsors of this year’s CEDA - Committee for Economic Development of Australia State of the State event on Monday, where we had the privilege of hearing from Premier Peter Malinauskas MP about his vision for South Australia’s future, with a strong focus on housing, infrastructure, and economic growth. Beyond our sponsorship of the event, we were proud to sponsor a table of high school students, including two students from our valued corporate partner, Clontarf Foundation. Students were given the unique opportunity to ask questions and engage with industry leaders from across South Australia’s business and commerce sectors. As a top 10 employer and the state’s key gateway for two-way goods trade, we take great pride in our contribution to driving economic growth. Events like State of the State allow us to stay connected with the broader vision for the state’s future and continue our support for its success. #CEDA #StateoftheState #FlindersPortHoldings #ClontarfFoundation

Well done to some of our OneFPH team for joining Mayor of the City of PAE Claire Boan for a beach clean-up at Semaphore Beach yesterday morning! This is just one of a number of beach clean-ups completed by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield this year, and we were honoured to be involved and support the volunteers as the coffee sponsor for the event. Great job team! 🤩

Last Thursday, the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service and the SA Ambulance Service Special Operations Team joined our team down at FACT to conduct a "medical emergency rescue from height" training exercise. It was a great opportunity to familiarise our local MFS and SAAS crews with the terminal site layout/equipment and provide a realistic training scenario so they’re able to respond effectively should they ever need to attend our Terminal. The MFS deployed a Technical Rescue Appliance, an Aerial Appliance and the MV Gallantry Fireboat waterside for the exercise. The FACT Team looks forward to further opportunities to collaborate with MFS and SAAS for operational readiness.

Come with our new grads, Mo, Anna, and Zhi Ching on their visit to Port of Thevenard and Port Lincoln! As part of their introduction to the FPH business, they’re heading out on a regional tour, visiting all of our sites to gain deeper insights into our operations and get a firsthand look at what we do. Over the past two days, they’ve visited both Port of Thevenard and Port Lincoln, where they’ve learnt about the unique aspects of our regional operations and how these sites differ. Next stop ➡️ Port Giles and Klein Point! #GraduateProgram #PortLincoln #PortofThevenard #FlindersPortHoldings #FlindersPorts

Earlier this month, our RAP Working Group and Diversity Council participated in a silk painting workshop. The workshop served as a thank you to the team on their outstanding efforts and dedication, going above and beyond their roles at FPH over the past 12 months. Local artist Iteka facilitated the workshop and provided the silk artwork outline for our team to paint. The first piece of artwork (picture 1) represents FPH and the connection to the land and water on which we operate. The second piece (picture 2) represents Iteka and her connection to her culture. Iteka taught the group different techniques that could be used to create different effects such as using salt rocks to create a mottled effect.

MEET THE TEAM: Nicole Zavaglia Nicole is our Warehouse Manager at Flinders Warehousing & Distribution (FWD) and has been with FPH for 5 years this May. Nicole began as a clerk, before becoming Warehouse Supervisor and then finally Warehouse Manager! Nicole's role is to manage the day-to-day running of the warehouse; overseeing staff allocation and competency, updating processes/policies to help with efficiency in the warehouse – whilst still ensuring safety is everyone’s priority, maintaining licenses and liaising with our FWD clients, making sure the team are always delivering a high level of customer service. We asked Nicole what her favourite thing about working at FPH has been so far: "The people and the support – we are a small team, but we all work hard and enjoy what we do! It makes it so much easier coming into work every day knowing the people you work with all want to do their best and knowing you have support across the business is a special thing."
