  • Last week, the first in our series of Half Round Table Panel Talks brought together voices from across the industry to interrogate what’s really standing in the way of meaningful transformation in Melbourne’s CBD. We questioned policy. We asked whether traditional development models still stack up. We explored how adaptive reuse demands a new kind of inventiveness- from government, from developers, and from architects. New frameworks, new typologies, new thinking. Because this isn’t just about vacancy - it’s about reimagining how we live in the city. Turning what’s already built into something that contributes. That holds. That lasts. Big thanks to our panel: Callum Fraser (Fraser & Partners), Socrates Capouleas (Codus Building Surveyors), Anthony Nelson (ERA-co), Teena Lynch (Wingate), and moderator Mark Wizel (Wizel Property Group). And to every guest who brought rigour, perspective, and the energy the conversation demanded. The full discussion will be available soon.

  • Fraser & Partners Associate Director and Head of Interiors, Melissa Leung has been announced as a judge for Australian Design Review 2025 Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) - Australia’s longest-running independent architecture and interior design awards program. This is the benchmark for interior design in Australia. A platform that recognises work with intent, spaces that don’t imitate but exist with purpose. We’re proud to have Melissa shaping the conversation. “I will be keeping my eye out for human-centred spaces that look and feel authentic – functional environments that explore materiality in unique and innovative ways,” Melissa says. • "The greenest building is the one that’s already built." – Carl Elefante Melbourne’s CBD is evolving – not just a place to work, but a place to live, stay, and experience. At the heart of this transformation is adaptive reuse, turning underutilised office buildings into spaces that breathe new life into the city. This Friday, Callum Fraser, Founder of Fraser & Partners, joins Socrates Capouleas, Director of Codus, Anthony Nelson, Creative Director of ERA-co, and Teena Lynch, Director of Property Origination at Wingate, in conversation, moderated by Mark Wizel Managing Director & CEO of Wizel Property Group. Together, they’ll explore how diverse, non-office programmes can take up underutilised office space in the city and restore the CBD to the vibrant hub we all love and need. Stay tuned for streaming details.

  • We believe architecture is a conversation - one that values every voice. To mark International Women’s Day, our team came together to celebrate, not just the women in our practice, but the richness of perspective they bring to our work. The men took charge of the celebration - organising, cooking, creating space. The women led the conversation - presenting their most meaningful projects, the work that has shaped their careers, the moments that have defined their journeys as architects and designers. It wasn’t a token gesture. It wasn’t about grand statements. It was a genuine exchange, a recognition that great design is built on diverse experiences, and that every architect and designer - regardless of gender - has a unique way of shaping space, materials, and meaning. #InternationalWomensDay

  • Great design isn’t created in isolation. At Fraser & Partners, we believe in the power of collective intelligence - the ability to push ideas further through conversation, critique, and collaboration. Each week, our teams from Victoria and Queensland come together to dissect real design challenges. One project. One or two big questions. And an open table where everyone contributes to finding the best solution. It’s not about hierarchy. It’s about perspective. A fresh set of eyes, a challenge to assumptions, a refinement of thinking. Because architecture isn’t just about form - it’s about the way ideas evolve, the way materials interact, and the way space comes to life when we design with intent. To us, collaboration isn’t a process. It’s a philosophy.

  • A look inside The Mondrian Gold Coast. This is a building that embraces it's natural surroundings, with undulating profiles that echo the curves of Burleigh's sand dunes and headland. Designed as an extension of the natural environment, it allows you to start relaxing from the moment you arrive. The ground floor is shaped by natural urban rooms, defined by a series of articulated vaults. Textured concrete reflects the raw beauty of eroded shells along the shoreline, bringing the essence of the beach and Burleigh’s easygoing lifestyle indoors. It’s the kind of place where you can walk straight in from the beach, salty and sandy, and feel like you belong.
