Last week, the first in our series of Half Round Table Panel Talks brought together voices from across the industry to interrogate what’s really standing in the way of meaningful transformation in Melbourne’s CBD. We questioned policy. We asked whether traditional development models still stack up. We explored how adaptive reuse demands a new kind of inventiveness- from government, from developers, and from architects. New frameworks, new typologies, new thinking. Because this isn’t just about vacancy - it’s about reimagining how we live in the city. Turning what’s already built into something that contributes. That holds. That lasts. Big thanks to our panel: Callum Fraser (Fraser & Partners), Socrates Capouleas (Codus Building Surveyors), Anthony Nelson (ERA-co), Teena Lynch (Wingate), and moderator Mark Wizel (Wizel Property Group). And to every guest who brought rigour, perspective, and the energy the conversation demanded. The full discussion will be available soon.
