🚨 Important news for climate action in the UAE! The UAE cabinet released a new federal decree-law at the end of August 2024 as part of its efforts to tackle climate change, underscoring the key role of CCUS in the country’s path to decarbonisation 🌍 This move supports the UAE’s broader ambition to achieve net-zero by 2050 and leverage CCUS to capture 10 Mtpa of CO₂ by 2030. This law will take effect on May 2025, further encouraging innovation and public-private collaboration and ensuring that both public and private sectors (including free zones) are part of the climate solution. The UAE is reinforcing its position as a leader in CCS and global climate efforts. Read more here 👇 https://lnkd.in/e7jhTB_D #ClimateAction #Sustainability #NetZero #CCUS #Decarbonization
