I recently had the opportunity to meet our INPEX Aboriginal Scholarship recipients at UWA and hear about their studies and aspirations for the future. I was struck by their dedication to their subjects and excitement for what comes next.
We recently met with the bright recipients of the INPEX Aboriginal Scholarships at The University of Western Australia (UWA). Since 2015, INPEX has been providing the scholarships to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with their undergraduate studies at UWA. Degrees pursued by the current cohort include Engineering, Criminology, Conservation Biology, and Indigenous Knowledge Heritage. “It was wonderful to connect with the students and learn about their fields of study. They are exploring areas that are well-positioned for long and successful careers. Their futures are undoubtedly bright,” INPEX Vice President Operations and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Champion, Joe Vetter said. “These scholarships are about providing students with financial support so they can focus on their studies and get the most out of their university experience. As part of our commitments in our Stretch RAP, we are proud to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education participation,” Joe said.
