  • Having worked for 20 years in the Cooper Basin, Beach employee Trevor was well-versed in the challenges of working out bush. In late 2024, Trevor woke up "not feeling 100 per cent," which escalated into a stabbing pain under his rib cage and across his chest. Tests confirmed he was likely having a heart attack and needed urgent treatment in Adelaide, over 800km away. Our partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (SA/NT) has been saving lives since 2004, and we're proud to support their life-saving missions. Their presence provides our people and their loved ones with the reassurance that, if ever needed, they will be there. • Today, representatives from Beach were proud to attend the Adelaide International Women's Day Breakfast, joining over 3,000 others in recognition of the achievements of women and the importance of gender equality. Tickets were also made available for members of our team to join virtually so that everyone had the opportunity to hear from this year’s inspiring speakers. This year’s theme, March Forward, marks 30 years since the Beijing Declaration, a reminder of how far we’ve come and the steps still ahead. Senator the Hon. Penny Wong, guest speaker Rachel Perkins, and Alexis McKay, Chair of Adelaide International Women's Day breakfast committee, all shared their thoughts and insights on the progress made, the power of love in driving change, and how small, collective actions—just 1% at a time—can create a lasting impact. At Beach, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace and supporting the advancement of women in our industry and beyond. Progress towards gender equality is more than just an acknowledgement of International Women’s Day. #IWD2025 #MarchForward

Happy birthday for tomorrow, to our founder Reg Sprigg! The late Mr Sprigg was born on 1 March in 1919 at Stansbury, on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula. A former student of the renowned explorer and geologist Prof Douglas Mawson, Mr Sprigg went on to achieve great things throughout his career, but none more important (in our opinion) than founding Beach in the early 1960s. A highly regarded Australian oilman, geologist, explorer and conservationist, Mr Sprigg displayed the true pioneer spirit which Beach draws inspiration from to this very day. • Our 2024-25 Vacation Student Program has recently wrapped up, and what an incredible 12 weeks it has been! Our talented vacation students had the unique opportunity to work on challenging and interesting projects within our business. They also had opportunities to explore the Drill Core Library, a couple participated in a geo field trip and all embarked on an unforgettable field trip to the Cooper Basin. These hands-on experiences have provided them with invaluable insights into the energy industry and a chance to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. A huge thank you to all our students for their hard work and enthusiasm. We can't wait to see where your careers take you next! #VacationProgram | Alexander Magarey | Emilia Tokareff | Frederick Oliver | Jessenia Bursill | William Hentschke

As the major parties battle it out in the upcoming federal election, we must recognise the risks posed by handing power to minor parties that prioritise narrow agendas over comprehensive solutions. • At Beach Energy, we are committed to supporting Australia's growth and prosperity.   A reliable, secure and affordable energy supply through the gas industry, results in a stronger economy.    Read the full report from KPMG on 'Economics Contribution of the Gas Industry"

KPMG's new economic analysis has underscored the importance of a strong Australian gas industry for a strong economy. As the below headline makes clear, the gas industry is the engine room of the Australian economy, contributing $105 billion annually and supporting 215,000 jobs. KPMG’s robust, evidence-based analysis also showed the Australian gas industry represents 3.7 per cent of Australia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and is the most productive sector in Australia, delivering $2.8 million in value-add to the economy per full time equivalent (FTE) worker. “As well as having a critical role in Australia’s energy mix, natural gas is powering the Australian economy through high levels of employment and productivity, spending billions with Australian businesses, and delivering significant state and federal government revenue through taxes and royalties,” Australian Energy Producers Chief Executive Samantha McCulloch said.   ℹ️ Click here to read the ‘Economic Contribution of the Gas Industry’ report and accompanying fact sheets: https://lnkd.in/grRKyjy2 🔗 Click here to read our media release: https://lnkd.in/gfMr4pvz

Beach is proud to be a community partner with Nature Foundation since 2012. Through our community partnership, we have been able to support the Kids on Country program.   In 2024, a documentary filmmaker joined the Kids on Country team and students and teachers on a five-day camp at Witchelina Nature Reserve in remote northern South Australia and captures the journey of a group of Aboriginal young people experiencing this life-changing program. The heartfelt and inspiring documentary, "Kids on Country," has been acquired by National Indigenous Television (NITV) and will be screened and streamed on Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia On Demand from 1 March 2025!   Members of Beach’s Community Team in South Australia were honoured to recently attend the film premiere.   Beach Energy's First Nations Engagement Manager, Candice Nayda said: “This program not only fosters a deep respect for nature and conservation but also encourages students to engage in their education with renewed purpose”.   “We are proud of our partnership with Nature Foundation as together we aim to promote sustainable land management and conservation through meaningful environmental education and community engagement”.   Watch the trailer for this inspiring journey of Aboriginal young people as they connect to Country, culture, and conservation in Nature Foundation's Kids on Country Junior Ranger Program. #CommunityPartnership | Phil Jones | Lucille Bailey
