Throughout NAIDOC Week (7 to 14 July), our teams immersed themselves in the spirit of this year's theme - Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud. In Boorloo (Perth), we learned about the Savanna Fire Management program at our lunch-and-learn event, featuring insightful talks by special guest speakers Paul Willaway and Jamie Moore from the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation, alongside INPEX Principal GHG & Energy Policy Advisor, Daniel Lim. Up in Garamilla (Darwin), teams engaged in multiple NAIDOC Week events. Kicking off with a flag raising ceremony, followed by the Jak Ahkit Golf Day, Elders luncheon, community march and breakfast, and closing out the week in style at the NAIDOC Gala Ball. We were honoured to host NBA legend Timmy Duggan at our onshore facilities, who shared insights about the community health initiative Hoops 4 Health. Meanwhile, our offshore teams relished in cultural culinary feasts prepared by ESS.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Starlight Children's Foundation Australia representatives – Cath, Rose and Jesse – at Ichthys LNG in Darwin for a partnership lunch-and-learn session. 🌟   The INPEX team had the opportunity to be inspired and see firsthand how Starlight is making a positive difference and bringing joy to seriously ill children - a cause close to the hearts of many, including some of our own team members and their families.   During the session, Starlight provided insights into their impactful programs, such as the Starlight Express Room at Royal Darwin Hospital and the Healthier Futures Initiative, followed by a positive distraction game.   INPEX and the Ichthys Joint Venture are proud long-term partners of Starlight Children’s Foundation. A big thank you to Cath, Rose and Jesse - it was an absolute delight to have you!    Ichthys is a joint venture between Total Energies, CPC Corporation Taiwan, Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., Kansai Electric Power Australia, JERA and Toho Gas.
