As the new A-League season begins, we are pleased to announce the launch of the new and improved Victory Draught, a continuation of the partnership with Melbourne Victory Football Club. This beer is crafted in Melbourne, specifically for the dedicated fans who support their team from the stands. This season, we have refined the recipe to deliver a cleaner, crisper taste that enhances the enjoyment for all Victory supporters. In addition, we are excited to extend successful elements from our partnership last season that will enhance member engagement and foster community connections. Our Taproom in Clifton Hill will serve as the Official Away Venue for all Melbourne Victory matches, creating a vibrant fan zone with house-made pizzas, drink specials, and various activations throughout the season. As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we will be donating 1,000 meals to SecondBite for every away men's goal scored, supporting those in need within our community. We wish the club great success in the 2024/25 season and look forward to a memorable year ahead! 🏆 You can pre-order your Victory Draught here: https://lnkd.in/dHsE_wMW

Wonki Wins Endeavour Group's Sustainability Supplier of the Year! It's been a very Wonki ride over the last few years, and as a small team of Uni students, being recognised amongst some of the biggest brands in liquor (Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley , Lion , Carlton & United Breweries to name a few) is a real honor. A special thanks to where it all started: Entrepreneurship Portfolio @ Monash University, Monash University, Monash Generator, David Gilbert, Kim Syling and Anh Nguyen, PhD. And we couldn't have made it this far without the support of Shadowboxer, Konrad Spilva, Delwin Lim, the rest of the Wonki family, and our friends at Local Brewing Co.
Wonki is thrilled to share with you that we've been we've been recognised by Endeavour Group as Sustainability Supplier of the Year! Our team is incredibly grateful for your ongoing support since our launch in stores late last year. Noteworthy mention to the EDG premix & sustainability team (especially Gregory Anderson) and their ongoing work to champion Wonki throughout the company - it really means a lot! It’s been a rewarding journey, from countless tastings to hand delivering cases across Melbourne, and we couldn't have achieved this without the passion of all the in-store and ranging teams at Dan Murphy's & BWS. Thank you for helping us spread the word and championing Wonki with your customers! The award really shows us that Dan Murphy's and BWS as the market leader in liquor retail is truly committed to supporting local businesses striving to set a new standard for environmentally friendly (and delicious) products. That’s something really special, and we’re excited about the fruit we’ll continue to save through our partnership in the years to come.

Endeavour Group supplier summit didn’t disappoint! With our friends Bridget Lansell, Max Moolman (and an absent Gabriel Tucker) taking home the well deserved sustainability award for their delicious premix Wonki - repurposing mishapen fruit, it made sure to be a cracking night. On top of pivotal conversations surrounding evolving priorities and preferences in the liquour industry, we were fortunate enough to pick the insightful brains of Steve Donohue Tim Carroll Scott Davidson and Agnieszka Pfeiffer on influencer led marketing strategies. Not to mention the exciting things Nick Carr and us at Local Brewing Co. are about to start cooking up in the wake of these innovative marketing discussions!

WorkHub is our fabulous on-campus internship program, but that doesn't mean we stay in the office! Recently, WorkHub students working on a sustainability project visited Local Brewing Co. to learn about their #sustainability and #socialimpact programs to reduce food waste and contribute to social enterprises like SecondBite. Big thanks to Joshua McLeod for hosting our visit and inspiring our students. #getoutoftheclassroom #employability #WorkIntegratedLearning #ExperientialLearning

It was an absolute pleasure presenting at the recent National Food Waste Summit hosted by End Food Waste Australia. The energy in the room was palpable, and it was truly inspiring to witness the collective passion and commitment to addressing one of the most pressing issues of our time. We are incredibly excited to join the growing momentum in the fight to end food waste and contribute to Australia’s ambitious goal of halving food waste by 2030. Together, with the collaboration and innovation displayed at the summit, we are confident that we can make significant strides towards a more sustainable and efficient food system. Let’s continue to drive change and work towards a future where no food is wasted, and everyone has access to the nourishment they need. Thanks again to Rocket Seeder and Emma Coath for extending the invite! 🌿 Nice to run into our friends at SecondBite in Daniel Moorfield 🍎 #EndFoodWaste #Sustainability #FoodWasteSummit #Australia2030

Introducing our Bread & Bakery Category winner, Local Brewing Co. Local Brewing Co. is known for its commitment to crafting exceptional craft beers with a focus on sustainability. Their innovative brewing techniques using wasted bread and community-oriented approach make them a standout in the industry, championing local ingredients and reducing environmental impact through their brewing processes. As the Bread & Bakery Category winner, Local Brewing Co.’s submission to the Challenge set by Category Sponsor Goodman Fielder, along with their impact on bread-based waste streams, stood out in a strong field of shortlisted applicants. Local Brewing Co. have designed a solution to the problem of bread being one of the most highly wasted food products in the world. This involves using wasted bread (i.e. leftover from supermarkets and bakeries after a day) to make a grain alternative for brewing that is cheaper than traditional grain and also addresses the issue of bread waste. Congratulations to our Bread & Bakery Category champion, Local Brewing Co.! We look forward to seeing your business expand and make a significant impact in this sector. Thank you to the Bread & Bakery Category Sponsor, Goodman Fielder, for your dedication to reducing food loss and waste in Australia. #ausfoodwastechallenge #foodwaste #foodloss #circularity #breadandbakerysector #localbrewingco Rocket Seeder | Empauer | End Food Waste Australia
