We are participating in the Adelaide City to Bay, aiming to raise $3,000 to support The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Stroke. Stroke is a cause close to our hearts. At Micro-X, we're developing a new miniaturised stroke CT scanner that can be easily taken on the road, enabling faster stroke diagnosis and speeding up the time to treatment. Faster access to treatment significantly reduces the likelihood of death and disability. Did you know that one in four people globally will experience a stroke in their lifetime? The Hospital Research Foundation Group invests in world-leading research to improve acute treatment, recovery, and prevention of stroke. They also provide essential support to individuals recovering from stroke. You can make a difference by donating through our team's page. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us get closer to our goal. https://bit.ly/3M87AWY Thank you for your support! 🙏 #CitytoBay #StrokeAwareness #MedicalInnovation #MicroX #Healthcare #Fundraising

Did you know the F.A.S.T. test could help you save a life in the event of someone experiencing a stroke? It's National Stroke Week in Australia. While we at Micro-X are working to bring stroke diagnosis to patients through development our mobile CT, the simple F.A.S.T. test can be used by anyone to spot the most common signs of stroke. Using the F.A.S.T. test involves asking these simple questions: Face - Check their face. Has their mouth drooped? Arms - Can they lift both arms? Speech - Is their speech slurred? Do they understand you? Time Is critical. If you see any of these signs call 000 straight away. A stroke is always a medical emergency. Keep looking at your mum, dad, love and mates, it could save their life. Stroke Foundation Australian Stroke Alliance #stroke #xray #medical

Did you know that one in four people globally will have a stroke in their lifetime? It's one of Australia's biggest killers and regional Australians are 17 per cent more likely to suffer a stroke than those in metropolitan areas. How far you are from a hospital is currently a significant determinant of your outcomes. In stroke, every minute to treatment counts, with up to 1.9 million brain cells under attack each minute. It's National Stroke Week in Australia. Micro-X is working to create a new mobile stroke device that promises to revolutionise CT, making it truly mobile and capable of bringing stroke diagnosis to the patient. Hear from our Chief Engineer Anthony Skeats and the design team at Monash Art, Design and Architecture about how partnerships across industry and university are driving the future of mobile stroke diagnosis to save lives.
