Safety matters to Northern Water! No job is so urgent or important that we can’t take the time to do it safely. Rail Safety Week! Northern Water has recently put 23 staff and contractors through the Rail Industry Worker (RIW) induction process which includes the successful completion of the ‘Safely Access the Rail Corridor’ training. The course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to enter the rail corridor, whilst meeting the legislated rail safety requirements. 16 members of the team have completed the ARTC National Contractor Induction and have successfully completed works in the rail corridor with the assistance of a Rail Protection Officer. The Northern Water project is engaging with Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to enable safe access to the rail corridor during project construction and operation. ARTC is entrusted to maintain and operate rail lines across Australia to move freight and passengers, ensuring safe, responsible and cost-effective transport. #RailSafetyWeek2024 #NorthernWater #SouthAustralia #TrackSAFEFoundation
