🎉 Happy birthday to our Marsden Park Care Community! 🎉 We were pleased to welcome Brad Bunting JP, Mayor of Blacktown City Council to our Care Community to celebrate one year of bringing high quality residential aged care to the people of Sydney’s growing north-western suburbs. Resident June unveiled the plaque to mark our milestone before our residents, family members, team and members of the local Marsden Park community enjoyed a delicious high tea celebration, with music by students from Richmond High School and string quartet Bella Strings. Marsden Park Care Community has become a much-loved member of the community, with our connections with local schools and Windsor RSL counting among our special highlights. Marsden Park Care Community is a kind, caring and welcoming environment, designed to meet the unique needs and choices of people as they age. With a beautiful central courtyard and gardens, rooftop terrace, alfresco dining area, five resident kitchens, and a sports bar with pool table, our residents enjoy socialising with family and friends. And we take the time to understand how each person likes to live their day, their way so our residents can live their best lives in care. We offer compassionate, personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses, a Wellness Centre supporting personalised reablement and restorative care, and a Memory Care Neighbourhood to support the individual needs of residents living with dementia. Having the freedom to make personal choices is vital for dignity, self-worth and confidence. And this is especially so for older people, who may feel unseen or undervalued. Our partnership with Thread Together (a fantastic organisation created to find social solutions to fashion excess), helps improve quality of life for residents whose circumstances or experiences before coming into care have left them in need of clothing. Since 2019, our partnership has provided more than 6,000 new items of clothing to our residents. Recently, members of our team spent a day at Thread Together, experiencing its incredible work to divert high quality garments from landfill to people who need it most. In 2024, we’re growing our partnership with Thread Together to provide even more support for residents in need, and offer purposeful volunteering opportunities for residents and our team alike.
