🏆 Monthly SHEQ Award – West Coast 🏆 A big congratulations to Carl Williams for receiving the Rob Carr Pty Ltd Monthly SHEQ Award for January on the West Coast! Carl’s initiative to improve drilling efficiency and safety has made a real impact. By using a letter hose instead of 20mm gravel to clean clay from slurry lines, he has helped to: ✅ Enhance cleaning effectiveness ✅ Reduce the risk of blockages ✅ Improve overall safety on-site This simple yet effective change — requiring an investment of just $1,000 —demonstrates how small improvements can drive better safety, efficiency, and operational success. 💡 The award was proudly presented by Andrew Youngs (General Manager – West), recognising Carl’s commitment to continuous improvement in SHEQ. Well done, Carl! #BuildOnUs #ContinuousImprovement #RobCarr #SHEQAward #SafetyInnovation #SHEQExcellence

📢 New projects with Sydney Water 📢 Together with our partner Bouygues Construction Australia, we look forward to working with Sydney Water to deliver these two transformative projects in Sydney's northwest that will enhance capacity and future proof wastewater and drinking water systems to meet the needs of customers in years ahead. The North West Wastewater Connection and the Thornleigh Pipeline Duplication projects address the growing demand on the city’s water infrastructure as the Greater Sydney population reaches a predicted 8 million people in the next 40 years. This significant urban growth requires upgrades to water, wastewater, storm water and recycled water infrastructure to support the increased pressure on these systems. The Ironbark Joint Venture has extensive local and global experience in the design, development and construction of pipelines, bored tunnels and pump station upgrades. We are proud to play our part in delivering this vital infrastructure that will support Sydney’s growing population and ensure the overall liveability of our city. #buildonus #BuildingForLife #civilworks #infrastructure #microtunnelling #newproject #tunnelling #waterinfrastructure #waterutility
Today we’ve announced the awarding of two major infrastructure contracts to Ironbark Joint Venture, with the projects to support thousands of new homes and jobs in the North West Growth Area. The contracts, with a combined value of $200 million, include the delivery of the North West Wastewater Connection and the Thornleigh Pipeline Duplication – key Sydney Water projects designed to enhance capacity in the region and ensure wastewater and drinking water systems meet the needs of customers now and in the future. Ironbark JV, comprising Bouygues Construction Australia and Rob Carr Pty Ltd, will manage the delivery of a new rising main and sewage pumping station upgrade as part of the North West Wastewater Connection, which will bolster the network leading into the Rouse Hill Water Resource Recovery Facility with a new 800-metre-long underground pipeline. Ironbark will also manage the duplication of a 1.4km drinking water pipeline between Thornleigh Reservoir and the Thornleigh-Wahroonga Water Pumping Station to increase its resilience by allowing water to be transferred between the two locations to cater for the growing population. 🏆 SHEQ Award Winner 🏆 This month, we recognise Caolan McDonald for his exemplary commitment to safety while managing the complex task of lifting slurry pipes from a deep shaft to a laydown area. Caolan demonstrated proactive risk management by: ✔️ Assessing hazards and ensuring personnel were moved from the base of the shaft into the pipeline, away from suspended loads. ✔️ Reassessing the next lift, which involved moving loads over the shaft, and again prioritising the safety of workers by relocating them to a protected position. While this approach reflects Rob Carr's Golden Rules and our safety culture, it’s commendable to see a labour hire team member embracing and demonstrating these values in action. Caolan was presented the award by Senior Project Manager Damian Coward. 👏 Thank you, Caolan, for leading by example and contributing to a safer workplace. A proud moment and win for Rob Carr Pty Ltd with another fantastic result at the 2024 National CCF Earth Awards for Excellence. The Quinns Main Sewer Extension Project was a very intricate and complex project and a fantastic achievement. Ultimately it couldn’t have been achieved without a dedicated construction team led by Andrew Youngs, Paul Lee, Meadhbh Moloney, and Adam Shanley, and of course the support of a fantastic client in the Water Corporation. Well done! Rob Carr is part of global entities Soletanche Bachy a world leader in underground engineering, foundations and soil technologies and VINCI world leader in concessions, energy and construction in more than 120 countries. #awards #buildonus #ccf #earthwards2024 #microtunnelling #projectexcellence #wastewater

Another tunnel successfully completed! The Rob Carr Pty Ltd crew at our Northwest Growth Package 4A Project for Confluence Water | Sydney Water's North Regional Delivery Partner, completed the first of two 270m long parallel drives. After recently completing a series of self performed deep access shafts to facilitate the tunnelling work, the drive was successfully constructed through variable ground conditions using our Iseki TCS1200 slurry pressure balanced machine (for rock). The tunnelling setup included a slurry separation plant and centrifuge to minimise slurry waste and ultimately our carbon dioxide footprint. Congratulations to Damian Coward, Liam Cosgrove, Gerard Dickey and Kurtis Barney for an excellent result. #buildonus #constructionproject #constructionexcellence #infrastructure #microtunneling #robcarr #projectexcellence #sewer #tbm #water #wastewater #2024

Rob Carr Pty Ltd is proud of its finalist nomination along with the Water Corporation for the upcoming Civil Contractors Federation WA Earth Awards for 2024 in the $30 million to $75 million category for Excellence in Civil Construction, and thank CCF WA for its consideration of our submission. The Quinns Main Sewer D & C project showcased Rob Carr's head contractor experience and capability with large diameter and long drive microtunnelling through suburbia in variable ground conditions. Much of the work was constructed within tight site footprints and environmentally sensitive areas. With over 1.8km of DN1800 concrete pipeline installed via microtunnelling including major civil works and vortex structures to 27m deep, another high quality utilities infrastructure project has been delivered for a highly valued client. A special mention goes out to Andrew Youngs, Adam Shanley, the wider Rob Carr site team, Steve Svetolik Ilic and other Water Corporation staff members who made this major project possible. #awards #buildonus #constructionexcellence #constructionnews #excellence #microtunnelling #robcarr #tunnelling
