Sunday saw a sold out RAC Arena, with the highest attendance of a sporting event of 14,447 to witness greatness as Ukrainian boxer Vasiliy Lomachenko take the IBF Lightweight Title against Australian George Kambosos. A phenomenal day of boxing, with a few little controversies, was had by all fans. Exciting morning in Melbourne with Office of Hon Jacinta Allan MP, Premier of Victoria announcing the very best of Australian basketball will play in Ford BALLIN’24, Melbourne taking place this July at John Cain Arena. Basketball Australia and partners TEG Sport with thanks to the Visit Victoria are bringing together for the very first time, Australia’s national teams across all basketball formats will compete, including the Australian men’s and women’s national teams, Boomers and Opals, Australia’s men’s and women’s wheelchair national teams, Rollers and Gliders and both the men’s and women’s 3x3 teams, Gangurrus men’s and women's. From Tuesday July 2 to Friday July 5, each Australian team will compete at least twice with the Boomers and Opals headlining alternate evenings with matches against China. This event will provide Melbourne the unique opportunity for fans to farewell both teams ahead of their respective 2024 Paris Olympics campaigns. London Calling! USA Basketball and TEG Sport today announced that the USA Basketball Women's National Team will play the German Women’s National Team at London’s O2 arena on July 23, as part of the 2024 USA Basketball Showcase ahead of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The USA Basketball Showcase features a series of games that help USA Basketball national teams prepare for major competitions, including the FIBA World Cup and Olympic Games. The USA Men’s National Team will play South Sudan and Germany at O2 Arena on July 20 and July 22, respectively.   The USA Women’s National Team’s match-up with Germany will mark the U.S. women’s first visit to London since winning the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.  Tickets for the game will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, April 16 at 9 a.m. BST at Ticketek UK.
