We’ve been pretty quiet the past couple of years, but now it’s time to share what we’ve been working on. As cardiovascular disease is the world’s leading killer, responsible for 1 in 3 deaths (!!), with 85% of these deaths vascular related, this is one of the most significant issues we’re facing today. Vexev is building the next generation of non-invasive medical imaging and vascular monitoring that will allow us to become proactive with our vascular health, based on years spent in hemodynamic research, with the backing and support of Blackbird Ventures. Read below to hear more on what we’re building and why Eamonn Colley and I founded Vexev.

Last Wednesday we had the opportunity to support Vexev in a truly powerful event with an inspiring panel who discussed their careers in creating impact as Engineers. A huge thank you to Deanna Hood and Megan Wheeldon who shared their incredible journeys in making an impact in Tech and to Alexis Yates for moderating the panel into a truly brilliant discussion. Throughout the night we also had the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge technology of Vexev, honouring the women leading these advancements and it was fantastic to see the very honest and open discussions that were had. Thank you again to Vexev, Eliya Suparman for organising this event and everyone that came for a really special night!”

The #vexev team has been working on some seriously cool software… Just had a robotic ultrasound scan with our #Wave device and thought I’d share the venous network of my left arm in 3D → see video below :) While seeing the fractal network looks awesome, I’m more excited about the potential impact for hundreds of thousands of dialysis patients in need of a functioning vascular access. A huge engineering effort required to pull this off, but we’re far from done. With upcoming planned trials in the US approaching, we are flat out to get this over there from our Surry Hills HQ in Sydney. That is why I’m putting the call out - if you’re a top software developer in any related field (e.g. cloud, ML, data/algorithms, ultrasound, robotics) and excited to work alongside a brilliant team solving the hardest problems - you can reach me directly by a short message or email (firstname at vexev dot com).

Hey all! As you know, the team here have been developing from scratch a new concept of autonomous vascular imaging with our first application for helping patients with end-stage kidney disease. Very proud to say this concept has been well received, where we have recently been published in the Journal of Vascular Access (link to paper in the comments if you didn't see the other posts! :p). As such, in exciting news, we're expanding the Vexev team and one of the first roles we are hiring for will be to lead the delivery of the software application. Collaborating with a brilliant team at the intersection of ultrasound and robotics, this is a role for someone who would enjoy the challenge of working with multiple software architectures and complexity - managing the requirements so that the users of our software can improve the lives of the patients they care for. Would love if you could share this role with anyone you think might be a good fit, or if you think it's you -- please apply! :) Thanks!
