Welcome to the second newsletter of 2024! 🚀 This quarter has been bustling with exciting events, so we are excited to share a very full issue including:  🎉 Our Annual Winter Gala, which was a sell-out success. In this issue Jamie Byrne, shares her enthusiasm for this year's theme and its personal significance. 🏫 Additionally, Sarah Bouhayat Bouhyat highlighted this year's Experience Engineering! event, which aims to inspire younger female and non-binary students to pursue STEM careers through engaging workshops. She also touches on this year's Vision Board Masterclass in July, we hosted in partnership with GHD.  🚆 Danielle Kirby provided insights into the Connecting Women Forum, a support network for women in rail created by @Sydney Trains Engineering and Maintenance Division.  🧑🔬 Finally, in June, a panel discussion was held, featuring Deirdre O'Neill, Sep Zarrin, Margaret Rozali, and Jamie Burrage, following up on last year's unconscious bias event, with Sharanya Sooriyakumaran sharing the highlights in this issue.  We also end the issue with an engineering comic strip by HUA QIAN A.  We hope you enjoy the Q2 issue!  Edited: Sharanya Sooriyakumaran and Deirdre O'Neill  Illustrated: Sharanya Sooriyakumaran

Last Wednesday we had the opportunity to support Vexev in a truly powerful event with an inspiring panel who discussed their careers in creating impact as Engineers. A huge thank you to Deanna Hood and Megan Wheeldon who shared their incredible journeys in making an impact in Tech and to Alexis Yates for moderating the panel into a truly brilliant discussion. Throughout the night we also had the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge technology of Vexev, honouring the women leading these advancements and it was fantastic to see the very honest and open discussions that were had. Thank you again to Vexev, Eliya Suparman for organising this event and everyone that came for a really special night!”
