Day 2 is ahead of us - and we have plenty of WA Mining Club representatives speaking today! James Fox will kick off the day with a CORE focused session at 9am, Jack Nalty will be a part of a round table at 12pm and Yasmin Fox-Mooney is the chair of a session at 2pm. Siti Khadijah Yusni and Jasmin Bentink did us proud yesterday - spoke passionately and from the heart about their topics. Very interesting discussions that were thoroughly enjoyed!

Connecting the Western Australian mining industry through networking and education.
About us
From humble beginnings, the WA Mining Club has built a reputation as one of the most effective networking organisations in Western Australia. Formed in 1972 by a group of dedicated Perth based industry professionals who recognised the value of meeting regularly to network and discuss industry issues, the WA Mining Club contributes to the advancement of the Western Australian mining industry through promoting and encouraging general and technical information as well as knowledge sharing. The Club does this through: - Monthly luncheons featuring mining leaders, the Education Series discussing topical issues, challenges and industry advancement and member-only social events - Minesite, an annual publication showcasing the Club, members and highlighting issues relevant to the industry - Education and positive promotion of the industry to help build the reputation of mining to the wider community - Fundraising for charities such as the St John. The WA Mining Club also financially supports the advancement of the mining community, through providing: - Scholarships to students who we envisage will be future leaders in our industry - University Prizes to those achieving excellence in their mining relevant studies - An annual donation to charities such as the St John Members represent a wide cross section of the industry. Our members showcase and share their work, innovations and breakthroughs to their peers. The WA Mining Club also provide members with relevant industry information. This includes topical issues and industry trends, particularly through its publications and guest speaker presentations. Membership is available through application and demonstrating relevance to the industry. Applications can be made on our website - http://waminingclub.asn.au/

We love hearing feedback for you. Here is a comment from a parent of a student that attended the WA Mining Club Get Into Mining Camp. "My son attended this year's camp. To say he loved it is an understatement. It was brilliantly done and he has not stopped talking about everything he saw and experienced. He went to the camp hoping to figure out his pathway to his desired career. It was insightful and inspiring and I can see how even just 4 days away from home has given him more confidence in himself and his choices for his future. Thank you Barry Upton and team for showcasing Mining and giving our kids some insight into what they can expect. It is appreciated."

Yesterday, around 500 Western Australian mining industry representatives gathered as our Executive Chair Jake Klein shared his insights and made the case for Australia, and our industry, to grasp the opportunities before us. He also spoke of our Mungari Operations, located over some of the best geology in the Goldfields region, where we are investing over $250M to double our plant capacity. We've had a presence in WA from the very start of Evolution and presenting at the WA Mining Club is an honour. Thank you for the invitation. #MungariOperations #Gold #WAMining

Next week I'll be flying to Sydney to represent the WA Mining Club at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC). I will be a panel member at the ESG Collaboration Dialogue Table discussing 'What will attract the future workforce into the mining industry?', a topic I'm very passionate about. If you're attending, I'd love you to come and join the discussion at 12:05 PM on Day 2. I would like to thank Robit Plc, Grounded and Resource Super for making this possible by sponsoring our trip. Without this sponsorship, opportunities like this are simply not possible for University Students.
