I’m Premila, the founder of Strategic Transformation Advisory (STA), a Perth-based consultancy started in May 2022. My passion is blending technological innovation with human-centered solutions, helping organisations navigate complex challenges to achieve meaningful outcomes. At STA, every engagement is tailored to ensure both business success and the well-being of the people involved. Volunteering is deeply embedded in my ethos. For me, 'Steward Leadership' is about leaving a lasting impact—not just in technology, but in expanding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across our industry. This commitment drives my work with WAITTA, where I’m excited to contribute to creating a more inclusive future in WA’s tech landscape." 💭What is your vision or aspiration for WAITTA? "WAITTA has a legacy of over 33 years, during which time technology and innovation have grown at an extraordinary pace. Now, we have the unique opportunity to not just continue the work of those who came before us, but to redefine it. This is our moment to ensure WAITTA stays relevant, forward-thinking, and reflective of today’s diverse and dynamic tech landscape. My vision is to see WAITTA as a beacon of diversity. It’s not enough to have representation; we need to embed diversity into the very fabric of what we do. I want to ensure that women, neurodiverse individuals, and First Nations people are at the forefront of this transformation. Together, we can shape an industry where no one is left behind." 💭What's something people might not know about you? "When people ask where I’m from, I often pause. I was born in India, raised in Kenya, studied in London, and worked across Europe and the US before settling in Australia seven years ago. I consider myself a global citizen, shaped by diverse cultures and experiences. This journey has not only enriched my perspective but also strengthened my commitment to fostering inclusivity in everything I do. I am driven by the desire to make a lasting impact and to help shape a brighter future for all." 💭 What is your vision or aspirations for WAITTA?  "WAITTA was originally founded to forge a powerful alliance between the ICT and Telecommunications industries. Today, with telecommunications deeply embedded in every tech solution, WAITTA's role has evolved into something far greater. I believe that WAITTA stands at the forefront of fostering dynamic collaborations and alliances that can transform our industry. We have the unique ability to build a vibrant, inclusive environment that transcends boundaries, bridges divides, and most importantly, creates connections and opportunities for all.
