At Waterfront Brisbane, we’re not just focused on what we’re building, but how we’re building it. This commitment spans community engagement, sustainability, material selection, technology, partnerships, and innovative construction methods. Our construction methodology animation showcases the carefully planned sequencing of works by our delivery partner, John Holland, leveraging the prime riverside location, optimising the tight site footprint, and phasing construction to minimise disruption to public access. This approach ensures the new Riverwalk will be delivered by January 2026, with the balance of stage one of Waterfront Brisbane following in 2028.

With Cyclone Alfred forecasted to impact Southeast Queensland in the coming days, the Waterfront Brisbane team is taking proactive steps to safeguard the site against heavy rainfall and strong winds. As part of our severe weather contingency plan, all service barges, pontoons, jack-up barges, and the large Darwin barge will be relocated to calmer waters, where they will be securely moored. On-site, the team is securing all machinery, including anchoring piling rigs, laying down mobile crane booms, and fastening attachments for foundation works. Fencing, barricading, and material tie-downs are being reinforced to withstand the conditions. While weather events can be unpredictable, we are taking every possible precaution to ensure the site remains safe and secure. We encourage everyone to stay informed and monitor updates from the Bureau of Meteorology and Brisbane City Council. We look forward to resuming works on this city-shaping development as soon as possible.

Waterfront Brisbane offers businesses the ultimate in workplace flexibility, providing seamless expansion opportunities across the precinct. With the existing One Eagle building and two new development towers, businesses can scale their footprint to meet their evolving needs. Leading national law firm Thomson Geer has recently leveraged this flexibility, expanding 362sqm to Level 27 at One Eagle. This strategic move aligns with their long-term lease on Level 28, increasing their office space from 1,791sqm to 2,153sqm to support continued growth. Designed for the future of work, Waterfront Brisbane adapts to businesses—not the other way around. It’s a next-generation precinct where work lives, and life works, ensuring every customer has the space and flexibility to grow with confidence.

Two Years of Progress at Waterfront Brisbane. Today marks two years since construction began on Waterfront Brisbane, and we’re celebrating this milestone with our delivery partner, John Holland! Over the past two years, the site has transformed from the Eagle Street Pier restaurant precinct into an active construction site with in-ground foundations now underway. By the numbers, our key achievements to date on site include: - 500,000+ workforce labour hours - 32,000 tonnes of material removed during the deconstruction of Eagle Street Pier - 98% of deconstruction materials reused, repurposed, or recycled - 30,000m³ of soil mixing completed for ground improvement works - 78% of the new Riverwalk structure is complete, on track for its planned opening in January 2026 - In-ground foundations for the podium and North Tower have commenced The year ahead will be a transformative one as the site begins its vertical evolution. The North Tower will rise from the ground, and the completion of the Riverwalk will redefine Brisbane’s riverfront, shaping a new chapter for this landmark development.
