Our current Accommodation Camp Project recently had the honour of hosting Theo Venter for an inspiring talk. During the talk, Venter recounted his personal journey following a workplace incident. Theo is the only person known to have survived 22,000 volts and 1,200 amps through the heart and lived to tell the tale. He provided our team with an in-depth look at how workplace culture dictates safety, breaking through many myths and misunderstandings associated with the safety industry. We thank Theo for his raw and emotional presentation, which has deeply resonated with our team and further united us in our commitment to safety and Keeping Our Mates Safe. We also thank the team for all their efforts and safety commitments to date. #WorkplaceSafety #Teamwork #Whittens #KeepingOurMatesSafe

We are excited to announce we have successfully completed our civil work on Elecnor Australia’s latest worker accommodation camp at Dinawan (near Bundure), NSW. Over the past two years, the Whittens team have been hard at work completing multiple work sites for our client, Elecnor Australia (formerly Secure Energy), as part of Transgrid’s EnergyConnect project. Located in regional NSW, the team has worked on projects across 700km of terrain, from the South Australian border to Wagga Wagga, overcoming the challenges of above-average rainfall and flooding within the region, to safely and successfully deliver high-quality work for our client. We have completed our work on the Dinawan Camp and Laydown including the roadworks under TfNSW compliance, along with bulk earthworks and drainage for the Camp and Laydown. The team has successfully completed: • Construction of a Transport for New South Wales compliant access point - 3,000m2 seal • 170,000m3 of clearing, grubbing & topsoil stripping • 50,000m3 of excavation of drains & basins • 30,000m3 of general fill placed • 30,000 tonnes of roadbase placed 👏A big shout out to our Project Manager, Nick Arena, and the entire team for their dedication and hard work! This accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without each and every one of you #Whittens #ElecnorAurstralia #Transgrid #EnergyConnect #ProjectCompletion #CivilConstruction #Teamwork #KeepingOurMatesSafe
