Green thumbs up for Mont Albert! 🌿 A local landcare group, the Mont Albert Village Gardening Group (MAVGG) is bringing a green corridor back to life, with the help of our community grant! They've been working hard to replant and restore native vegetation, making their suburb even more beautiful. Our grant will help them buy a trailer and a water-efficient irrigation system, so they can keep their community garden thriving. It's awesome to see communities come together to make a real difference for their local environment. We've teamed up with Mitcham Community House to give their garden a glow-up ahead of their 50 year celebration! 🌿 Backed by our community grant and some elbow-grease, staff volunteers and members of the community joined forces to revitalise the garden, building habitats and planting over 150 trees. It's the 2nd time we have visited in the past 6 months, this time with over 40 staff volunteers turning up to lend a hand. We're passionate about supporting vibrant community hubs like Mitcham Community House, where families connect and thrive. We’re sharing knowledge and solutions to tackle some of the biggest water challenges - reducing water loss, improving energy efficiency, strengthening climate resilience, and creating safer, more inclusive workplaces. It's not just about what we share - this partnership gives our staff learning and mentoring opportunities, while helping us strengthen our strategies to secure future water supplies.
