🚀 Pioneering Sustainable Blue Growth: Insights from the I3-4-BLUE GROWTH Project Meeting in Vaasa Last December, over 30 innovators and industry leaders gathered in Vaasa, Finland, for the first ecosystem visit under the I3-4-BLUE GROWTH PROJECT (led by ANI | Agência Nacional de Inovação – Portugal), hosted by Technology Centre Merinova Oy. The event showcased cutting-edge solutions for maritime decarbonization and blue economy growth across the Baltic Sea region. Highlights of the visit: 🌟 Aurora Botnia Ferry Tour: Participants explored the Baltic Sea aboard Wasaline’s hybrid-powered ferry, running on LNG, biogas, and battery solutions—a symbol of Vaasa’s energy innovation. 🔋 Hybrid Workshop: Discussions on “Building Sustainable Solutions Through Collaboration” emphasized best practices for maritime decarbonization and cross-border partnerships. 🤝 Networking & Knowledge Exchange: B2B matchmaking, project presentations, and field visits connected stakeholders with tech providers and regional initiatives. 🌱 Finnish Tradition Meets Innovation: The agenda even included a traditional sauna experience—balancing work with Nordic culture!
