Details of tower cables and docked vessels are clearly visible in this Colorized Sub-aperture Image (CSI) of Helsinki, Finland. CSI images are made by coloring the backscatter received for different sub-apertures and combining it into a single product. Human-made objects with flat surfaces or sharp angles typically produce preferential scattering orientations (anisotropic scatterers) that appear highlighted as a dominant color in the CSI image. In contrast, natural objects - such as trees and water - scatter uniformly in all directions (isotropic scatterers) and do not show preferential scattering geometries. They tend to appear as gray tones in the CSI image. ICEYE is able to produce CSI images for Dwell, Dwell Fine, and Dwell Precise imaging modes. Learn more about Dwell modes and see the unparalleled level of detail in single SAR images. https://hubs.li/Q033t5Yx0
