#Unmet #medical #needs evolve over time and change as the disease progresses and scientific progress is made. Therefore, the absence of a treatment or therapy is not the only unmet need to consider. The #quality of #life of #patients and their families and caregivers, the #burden of #treatment and the disease and its severity should also be considered in research and investment discussions concerning unmet medical needs.   For Chiesi’s R&D decisions, a broad understanding of UMN encourages continued research for all patient populations who can benefit from therapeutic innovation. Just finished an insightful panel discussion on the future of healthcare in Europe at the #EUHealthSummit. Key points: - Clear frameworks for patient involvement, supported by proper funding, are essential for effective policies. - Innovation and life sciences are essential for improving care and addressing healthcare challenges. - Investing in healthcare professionals' training and well-being is crucial. - Simplifying regulations and creating a supportive environment will help drive research and development. - Europe must have the right regulatory framework to keep pace with the innovations of tomorrow. Può un parcheggio trasformarsi in una foresta? Nel nostro stabilimento di Ascoli Piceno ci siamo quasi riusciti grazie al nuovo impianto fotovoltaico, attivo da settembre 2024. Con una produzione annua di 1.600 megawattora di energia pulita, questo impianto riduce l’impatto ambientale dello stabilimento, compensando la stessa quantità di CO2 che assorbirebbe una foresta di circa 17.000 alberi. In pochi mesi, abbiamo già autoprodotto 277 MWh, garantendo un risparmio energetico rilevante ed evitando l’emissione di 75 tonnellate di CO2 nell’atmosfera. In occasione della Giornata Internazionale dell’Energia Pulita, vogliamo ricordare che ognuno di noi può fare la sua parte per ridurre l’impronta sul Pianeta e che inquinamento e il cambiamento climatico hanno effetti diretti anche sulla nostra salute.
