🚀 READI Project Launches to Enhance Patient Representativeness and Inclusion in Clinical Research We are proud to announce the launch of the pioneering project READI - Research in Europe and Diversity Inclusion, a Horizon Europe-funded initiative promoting a less fragmented and more democratic ecosystem for clinical studies. 🌍 Underserved and underrepresented populations in Europe, including ethnic minorities, older people, and socioeconomically disadvantaged groups, are often excluded from clinical studies. This creates gaps in understanding diseases 🩺 and limits access to innovative health technologies. ✨ READI aims to build a cohesive, patient-centered ecosystem for clinical studies by: 🔍 Identifying and addressing barriers to participation. 🤝 Co-creating tools, resources, and training programs for inclusive study designs. 💻 Developing an innovative digital platform to enhance stakeholder collaboration. Infections such as #HPV and #HBV can cause cancer.  🦠 Over 95% of cervical cancer cases are caused by an HPV infection.  🩹 Every year HPV vaccination can prevent over 27,000 cases and 12,000 cervical cancer-related deaths in Europe.  🇩🇪 HBV results in 60,000 deaths annually and in Germany, 93% of HBV cases occurred in unvaccinated individuals.  This #WorldCancerDay, let’s remember that immunisation is the best way to protect ourselves from infection-associated cancers https://bit.ly/4hDWZRi
