𝐄𝐕𝐁𝐁 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒! One of EVBB's aims is to be a lighthouse of information regarding development, evolution and innovation for our members. What better position to be in than at the heart of the #CoVE Forum where the future is being shaped by industry experts? 🌎 This year the Forum of Excellence was organized alongside WorldSkills Lyon 2024 which allowed us to be involved in shaping the future of VET agenda as well as see VET students showcase their skillset through the WorldSkill Competition. As we are constantly striving towards raising the recognition of VET, it was encouraging to see the VET sector and its students and staff be provided with such a big and widely recognized platform. This was also a great opportunity for EVBB to showcase its own COVEs: STARS Shaping Talents and Achieving Vocational Excellence in Sports, TourX, AgriFood4Future and H2Excellence Erasmus+ project. The CoVE Forum brings together top VET institutions, industry experts, and policymakers from around the world to collaborate, share best practices, exchange experiences, create synergies and inspire each other with lessons learned. It is a point of convergence for professionals from all across to elevate the level of VET through continuous #collaboration and #upskilling. 🤝 🌍 We started this eventful week with ‘Skills in Africa’ which was attended by organisations from Ivory Coast, Senegal, Madagascar and many more. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to present EVBB and our operations and establish future collaborations with such esteemed individuals as Africa is a key area for us. 🔗 🌐 EVBB had the opportunity not only to participate in the Forum and hear from key actors in the VET sector such as Chiara Riondino, Loukas Zahilas, Dr. Pilvi Torsti, but also to lead discussions. Our Head of Office Sonia Degroote and EU Project Manager Sotiria Tsalamani have moderated the workshop on Energy Transition, while our other EU Project Manager Antonio Gennarelli moderated the Tourism workshop. We are proud of our colleagues who H2Excellence and TourX #CoVEs to not only lead but also provide input on the development of #tourism and #energytransition. 💡 🎤 We are also very proud to say our Secretary General Theodor Grassos was a speaker on the International Youth Forum in a high-level dialogue between young professional leaders and decision makers to address youth main challenges and the transformation of public and private policies dedicated to education and skills. We would like to thank MATTHIEU MERCIECCA, Juan Sebastian CORTES and the French Ministry of Education for organising this key event for the VET Community. By working together we can empower the VET sector and drive positive change in our communities! 💪 #CoVEForum #VETExcellence #SkillsDevelopment #VocationalEducation #FutureOfWork #Lyon2024 #Collaboration #Innovation

The visit was an excellent opportunity for both organizations to get acquainted, discuss our respective initiatives, and explore potential collaborations. We had productive discussions about our shared goals and how we can work together effectively on future projects. A key focus was planning joint initiatives aimed at tackling critical challenges in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Both organizations emphasized the importance of enhancing employability and improving the image of VET, not just in Belgium but across Europe. 🌍 With UCLL’s expertise in teacher training, curriculum development, and innovation, and EVBB’s extensive network, we are excited about the potential for impactful projects that will enhance training programs and support VET graduates in their career journeys. 🚀 We look forward to developing these ideas further and making a positive impact on the VET landscape in Europe. #VET #Education #Collaboration #Innovation #EuropeanProjects Hogeschool UCLL - Navorming en Dienstverlening Welzijn Job De Meyere Dirk Staf Amaya Gomezgil Gabriel lingyan Hong Alfred Pallarca

📢 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 On this International Day to Protect Education from Attack, we as EVBB stand in solidarity to highlight the grave consequences of conflict on education worldwide. 🌎 Education is a 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, crucial for the fulfillment of all other rights. Yet, in conflict zones, schools and students are often targets of violence, leading to long-term physical and psychological harm, higher dropout rates, and disrupted learning. As UN Secretary-General António Guterres points out, these attacks rob vulnerable children — including refugees, migrants, girls, and those with disabilities — of their right to a safe and quality education. 👩🎓 The 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 was established by a unanimous decision of the UN General Assembly, calling on UNESCO and UNICEF to raise awareness of the plight of millions of children living in countries affected by conflict. The alarming rise in attacks against schools and students reported by the UN demonstrates that this is more than a crisis — it is an urgent call to action. Protecting education means 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, ensuring that they have the opportunity to build a better world even in the aftermath of war. Together, we must renew our commitment to secure safe spaces for children in ensuring their right to learn free from fear and violence. Every child deserves a future filled with opportunity, hope, and peace. 🤝
