🏢 Accelerating the EU's Path to Zero-Emission Buildings with New Policy Recommendations! 🏢 Achieving zero-emission and energy-positive buildings is essential for Europe’s climate ambitions 🌍. The updated Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) sets the stage for this transformation, but financial barriers still hinder progress. 🔑 To support policymakers at national and regional levels, a new set of 10 policy recommendations offers actionable solutions to overcome financing challenges in building renovations. These insights, drawn from 8 EU-funded research projects and 33 demonstration sites, focus on transforming our building stock to meet EU climate goals and create Positive Energy Neighborhoods. 📊 A comprehensive stakeholder matrix details the needs, roles, and barriers facing key players, providing guidance on where regulation, incentives, and partnerships can unlock progress. 📰 Download the policy recommendation report here: https://lnkd.in/e3Z5yEuH 🖊️ Author: Jannika Aalto BPIE - Buildings Performance Institute Europe | Victoria Taranu | Emily B. #ZeroEmission #oPENLab #PolicyRecommendations

oPEN Lab is an H2020 project identifying replicable & commercially viable solutions for #positiveenergy districts.
About us
oPEN Lab is a project funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The aim of the oPEN LAB is to identify replicable, commercially viable solution packages enabling the achievement of positive energy neighbourhoods within existing urban contexts that are seamlessly integrated into the local energy system as an active micro-energy hub, and to test these technologies and package as an integrated solution at neighbourhood scale. Three open innovation living labs in the cities of Genk (BE), Pamplona (ES) and Tartu (EE) will test combinations of different close-to-market ready technologies and services and study their performance as a unique operating system. Dra. Arquitecta trabajando en Ciudad | Directora de Gobierno Estrátegico, Urbanismo, Vivienda y Agenda 2030 del Ayuntamiento de Pamplona-Iruña.
Oso pozik atzo ospatutako Iruñako Hiri Agendaren jardunaldiarekin!! ESKERRIK ASKO.
