🌍 Exciting update from the GEMINI 4.0 Summer School on HTGR Technology!    We know that we have been a bit silent lately, but we have been busy with the wrap up of the GEMINI 4.0 Summer School - where 70 participants from across Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia gathered to explore High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) technology! This event, held from September 24-26, 2024, attracted representation from multiple research institutions & nine leading industrial companies—a first for an event of this kind!    🏭 Over three days, experts delved into the history, technology, and applications of HTGR reactors, highlighting their potential for poly-generation: providing electricity, heat, and hydrogen. The response underscored the viability of HTGR in supporting national and European energy objectives, from emission reduction to technological autonomy and energy security.    As Joseph Sobolewski remarked, “There is substantial interest in HTGR technology, which must be harnessed to attract new talent, especially in emerging nuclear regions.”    👏 Thanks to all participants and contributors for their enthusiasm and commitment to advancing nuclear cogeneration!
