We are happy to announce that Renalfa IPP started commercial operation of its first utility scale 25MW/55 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the beginning of June. The BESS is Bulgaria’s southwestern city of Razlog. It is connected to the TSO grid and co-located with a 33 MWp PV plant. The BESS enables the time shift of the solar peak production and arbitration on the electricity market.    The project is the first sizeable storage investment in the country, the largest operating BESS system in Bulgaria and one of the first BESS of such scale in Eastern Europe. https://lnkd.in/dhrnpnNg

Solarpro's CEO Krasen Mateev recently took the stage at CISOLAR 2023 to present our work and best practices on the 66 MWp project of Oslomej, North Macedonia in the "Case Studies of Successful Solar Energy Projects in Central and Eastern Europe" panel of the conference that took place on 30-31st of October in Bucharest, Romania.    One of the specifics of the site of Oslomej is that construction is taking place on land that is unsuitable for agricultural purposes - above a former lignite mine. Our team is currently in the process of commissioning the PV power plant. Thank you to our hosts for the exceptional organisation and insightful discussions. See you next year!  #CISOLAR #IBES2023 #CleanEnergy #solarenergy #solar #batterystorage #energystorage #solarenergy #solareurope #innovation #future #technology #collaboration #construction #sustainability #solar #renewableenergy #renewables #cleanenergy #solarpro #bulgaria #pv #epc
