    Drumroll please... our next Employee Spotlight is on Senior Research Manager, George Joseph! Q: What is something that you do on every project that always helps make it better? A: When it comes to projects, I’ve been told that my colleagues tend to appreciate my attention to detail and contextualization of results. One of them ensures no aspect of the project gets overlooked, and thus the deliverable becomes more thorough and trustworthy. The other is important since key metrics/data points don’t always tell the full story – context is key, whether it be alleviating any fears related to concerning results or explaining positive trends for the brand/product/service in question. I like to think this approach adds more depth and quality to the insights we generate for our clients. Q: What is the best thing about working at BrandSpark? A: The people I work with! I feel blessed to have had amazing people over the years around me for support, constant learning and guidance. The team really knows how to share some laughs & celebrate each other's successes.     Introducing our next Employee Spotlight: Senior Research Analyst Laine Sills! Q: When did you start with BrandSpark and how has your career progressed since? A: I've been at BrandSpark for over two years now. I started as intern and have continued to learn and grow as a researcher, making my way up to my current position as a senior research analyst. It’s been an exciting journey so far! Q: What is the most interesting thing you have learned and/or what was the weirdest thing you have learned? A: I never expected to know so much about automotive industries, especially as someone who doesn’t drive or own a car. But that’s the fun of market research – becoming an expert in industries you wouldn’t normally explore and learning about people’s passions along the way! #EmployeeSpotlight

    Get to know our amazing team and their unique personalities and strengths with our new Employee Spotlight series! It is the people that make BrandSpark a great place to work and a place where meaningful and impactful insights thrive! First up, we have our VP Shopper Insights, Philip Scrutton. To some he is the GOAT of Canadian Shopper Trends, to others their very own personal Google!  Q: What do you do here at BrandSpark? A: As VP Shopper Insights, my research & insight team works with consumer brands that want to increase sales via in-store and online retail partners. Our work includes breaking down consumer decisions at retail, quantifying innovation opportunities, testing packaging designs, and tracking brand equity for retailers and product brands. I also oversee the major annual studies behind leading awards programs Best New Product Awards and BrandSpark® Most Trusted Awards, which have led to our expertise in product innovation and the drivers of trust. Q: What was your favourite award winning product? A: The best thing about conducting the research for Best New Product Awards is discovering which products exceeded consumer expectations each year. The winners are often products I wouldn't have tried without that consumer endorsement, yet many make it into my family's routine. Two 2024 winners I have at home now are the new Schneiders Sliced Meats, specifically the Summer Sausage, which tastes great, and Aveeno Calm + Restore Skin Therapy Balm, which is amazing value and soothes irritation, just as consumers told us.
