🌊 Exciting Development at bp's Westlake Campus! 🌊 We're proud to share that Tom Knox, Eddy Luy, and Jordan LeRoux recently visited bp's Westlake Campus with our state-of-the-art eDNA sampler. During our visit, we conducted comprehensive training on the sampler and discussed various deployment options. eDNA samplers play a crucial role in helping petroleum companies like bp monitor environmental impact, comply with regulations, and enhance sustainability efforts. These samplers allow for: 👉 Biodiversity Assessment: Efficiently monitoring marine life around operations. 👉 Regulatory Compliance: Meeting environmental regulations with accurate data. 👉 Sustainability Initiatives: Demonstrating commitment to environmental stewardship. 👉Operational Efficiency: Offering cost-effective and non-invasive monitoring solutions. We look forward to seeing how companies like bp will leverage this cutting-edge technology to contribute to marine conservation and sustainable practices. #EnvironmentalTechnology #eDNA #MarineScience #Sustainability #OilAndGas #bp #EnvironmentalMonitoring #DartmouthOceanTechnologies #InnovationInAction

🌊 Fieldwork Update 🌊 Dr. Jennifer Tolman was recently in the Canadian Arctic, in Pangnirtung, with our eDNA sampler, collecting crucial whale samples as part of Dr. Sarah Fortune's lab at Dalhousie University’s Department of Oceanography. 🐋 Whales are essential for biodiversity and ecosystem health. Our eDNA sampler, currently undergoing field testing, allows researchers to detect genetic material from water samples, identifying cryptic or hard-to-see species that traditional methods miss. By collaborating with experts like Dr. Sarah Fortune, Dr. Julie LaRoche, and Dr. Jennifer Tolman, we’re advancing this technology and collecting critical environmental data. Samples will be analyzed in Dr. LaRoche's lab, enhancing our understanding of whale populations. 📷 Do you have images of any of your Dartmouth Ocean Technology products in the field? Send us a picture for a chance to be featured! #OceanTech #Conservation #ArcticResearch #eDNA #DartmouthOceanTechnology #Fieldwork #OceanInnovation
