DASCH is a non-profit organization established in 1974 dedicated to building and inspiring a community of inclusion where people with intellectual disabilities are valued and enabled to live to their full potential. Our mission is to provide meaningful residential, vocational and leisure programs within the community to persons with intellectual disabilities by fulfilling their individual, physical, emotional, social and educational needs. DASCH supports people from ages 8 to 74 within over 58 homes throughout Winnipeg. People can participate in personalized social, educational, vocational and recreational services that provide learning opportunities and greater independence. Since the movement from institutionalization to community living evolved, DASCH have made large strides in empowering an otherwise historically overlooked population of our society. DASCH is truly committed to enhancing and uplifting the lives of the people it supports through education, awareness, understanding and the highest degree of respect for all.

The DASCH Foundation was established as a registered charity by a group of families and supporters to manage an endowment fund and ensure the long term success and stability for the people DASH supports. Praise for the Good Neighbours Lawn Care team from DASCH-supported homes 👇 "The yard looked amazing! They went over and above by weeding the front yard flower beds." "It's so sad to hear lawn care has come to an end. It left our lawn looking great. Big thanks the guys and their coordinator." "This really made our lawn well kept, clean, and looking nice this summer. Looking forward to seeing the team next summer." The Good Neighbours program provides summer lawn care to DASCH-supported homes. This year we were able to double the number of people employed by the program, in part thanks to Red River Co-op's gift card donation to fuel up between visits to 60 homes across the city!
