Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Finish It! More than a powerful tribute to Terry Fox’s iconic Marathon of Hope, this film is a rallying cry for all of Canada to help finish what he started. Unveiled on World Cancer Day with the Terry Fox Research Institute, Finish It marked the launch of our bold new brand platform—a movement calling on all of us to push cancer research forward and carry Terry’s dream across the finish line. Bringing this project to life required extraordinary collaboration. Behind every frame is a team driven by passion, creativity, and purpose—melding archival footage with breathtaking visual effects, adapting the evocative music of The Tragically Hip, and crafting an emotional, urgent call to action that transcends time and bridges generations. Terry’s influence is as strong today as it was 45 years ago. When we put out a call for volunteers to help film one of the final scenes, hundreds of supporters showed up. Every single partner we worked with was deeply committed to this cause, bringing their talent, heart, and dedication to something truly special. Grateful to all the brilliant minds who made it possible—this is the kind of work that reminds us why we do what we do. We led an incredible social campaign with Pizza Hut Canada, and the results were nothing short of amazing. With a strong social strategy at the core, we were able to create over 100 pieces of content with 30+ organic posts, 15+ influencer posts, and generated over 45+ UGC (user-generated content) pieces - all in the midst of a high-distraction moment. This campaign proves that with the right approach, content creation can thrive and engage audiences, no matter the distractions. Ahead of #InternationalWomensDay, we are celebrating an investment that will transform mature women’s health care today, and for future generations! Sinai Health’s Centre for Mature Women’s Health has a vision. We want to address the inequities women face in care and research, and drive a transformative shift in the way health care is delivered to women throughout their lives. Creating a physical home for the Centre and expanding education programs and groundbreaking research will improve access to specialized care for thousands of women annually – solidifying this as one of the most comprehensive centres of its kind. We are now able to make this vision a reality. A recent $25-million donation from The Hillary and Galen Weston Foundation and Janice and Earle O’Born is making it possible to take these bold actions and improve access to equitable care for women in our city and beyond. In recognition of their support and generous gift, the Centre will be named the Weston & O’Born Centre for Mature Women’s Health.
