About us
Giyani Metals Corp. (EMM:TSXV) is a well-funded high purity battery grade manganese (HPMSM) development company with projects in Botswana, Africa. Giyani has this year finalized a US$26 million funding package with two strategic institutions (ARCH and the IDC) enabling the Company to get to Final Investment Decision in H1 2025. The Company is developing a Demonstration Plant for battery grade manganese (HPMSM) and will be producing product for offtaker testing and qualification in H2 of 2024. Concurrently the Company is in Final Feasibility with a Definitive study planned in the first half of 2025. Giyani has developed a unique hydrometallurgical process using ore from our K.Hill project in Botswana, which is a near-surface, high-purity deposit that has recently undergone a feasibility study, which demonstrated the project's potential to be one of the most significant and largest battery-grade manganese producers globally, as well as the significant expansion and optimization opportunities from our 1,960km2 licence holding in Botswana.

I am pleased to announce that Integrals Power has achieved a significant breakthrough in Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (𝐋𝐌𝐅𝐏, 80% 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞) cathode active materials for battery cells. By leveraging proprietary materials technology and a patented manufacturing process, the company has successfully addressed the typical drop in specific capacity associated with an increase in manganese percentage. The outcome is cathode active materials that enable higher voltages and offer a superior energy density. Rich Manganese LMFP materials blend the desirable characteristics of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistries—such as cost-effectiveness, with energy density levels closer to more costly Nickel Cobalt Manganese (NCM) chemistries. This advancement could potentially boost electric vehicle range by up to 20% or allow for smaller and lighter battery packs while maintaining the same range. Distinguished by an 80% manganese composition, surpassing the typical 50-70% range found in competing materials, the LMFP materials exhibit a higher specific capacity of 150 mAh/g and deliver a voltage of 4.1V (compared to LFP's 3.45V & NCM's 3.7V). The third-party evaluation conducted by experts at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC), from coin cells to EV-representative pouch cells, underscores the reliability and potential of these materials.
